I don't know if women usually get this problem, but I currently have very small skin colored bumps under my arms, on my triceps.

It just feels bumpy, and doesn't hurt. I've been putting lotion on it, it's gone down a bit but it never goes away. What can I do? It seems almost like they won't go away. Some of them are a little redish, but they aren't like acne. They're just small bumps. I want it to be smooth Smile Any ideas? I've even tried exfoliator on it before lotion, and still nothing.

I'm pretty confused!

It is harmless but annoying. Creams can help.

I used to have it, but after applying lots of lotion every day, exercising, drinking lots of water, and losing weight (from pregnancy), it cleared up.

I had this for a long time -- I started putting Borage oil on it (one time did it) and they completely went away. They will occasionally pop up again and the borage oil has worked every time!

Its keratosis pilaris. 70% of people in the US have it. Try a 20% glycolic acid body moisturizer and other physical exfoliants. Basically its dead skin cells clogging the hair follicle.

That is a fascinating statistic! I never knew it was that common!

Thank you!

Interesting that Theskingirl82 said it results from clogged hair follicle -- in my original post I almost said that it looks/feels like the hair follicle is inflamed or very reactive!

I tried borage oil because from what I've read it should act to stimulate prostaglandin synthesis and therefore decrease inflammation (I came upon this when I was looking for a more natural way (AKA a cheaper way) to stimulate eyelash growth...

The verdict is still out on my eyelashes (although I definitely have some extra growth) but it really works for me on those funky arm bumps! Very Happy

xndnromeoxx -- if you try it, let us know how it works for you! I know it has eliminated the issue for me but I'm curious to see if it works for others! Smile
