This product has been around for a while now, and I was really taken by the mostly positive reviews on MUA. Plus, I was going through a stage of psychosis which could only be satisfied after trying *every* makeup base on earth....
The Enhancer is a pure white paste like product, it spreads easily on moisturised skin (a silicon base is probably not necessary) and does take several minutes for the white colour to melt into normal flesh tones - especially for medium/tan skin tones.
Unless you have rather pale skin with no yellow skintones, you would need to wear some sort of makeup on top, otherwise you end up with a rather obvious looking mask like complexion.
After using more than half a dozen times, layered with various other products... I am still undecided if it is such a necessary part of a makeup routine.
If you are going to have a LONG day, this is probably not going to last on oilier skins, even with a silicon base + rice starch primer + mineral makeup... but for something that is very thickly textured, it does sit on the skin very comfortably.
This is one of those products that would be great for a night out, when you can get away with heavy or unnatural enhancing coverage.
Somehow I think of this as the face-version of the Guerlain lip base... it is sheer and illuminating, and basically lights up any coloured foundation/powder you apply over the top.
As for the SPF, I wouldn't use or trust a makeup product to provide basic sun protection, especially since they are not formulated to be photo stable or protect against UVA and UVB rays... |

If I am not using mineral makeup then I won't use any sunscreen.. since it is normally a hindrance for smooth makeup application. |
