How fast do you use up your sunscreen? A 4-oz tube (lasts me about 2.5 months). I'm thinking that I'm using it up too slowly, but I apply it pretty heavily and it spreads easily, so I wonder if that makes a difference. |

It usually takes me about 4-5 months to go through my 3.3 oz. bottle of Shiseido. I think you're good as long as you remember to put the right amount on every time--1 tablespoon for face and neck. I should add that I usually put more on than that and I use a separate La Roche Posay one for my neck. |

Hi.I'm new here. But I wanted to chime in: You only need 1/4 tsp of sunscreen for face and 1/4 tsp for your neck to get the manufacturer's rated SPF and PPD. 1/2 tsp. total. 1 tablespoon would be overkill and won't offer any more protection. It's a bit of a waste.
You are, however, supposed to reapply every two hours (even the stuff on your face...such a pain). |

Eeek! You're not applying anywhere near enough to get adequate protection. |

Completely agree.
I don't practice what I preach. Let's just say it takes me a long time. In the summer I use it more frequently, but not frequently enough. |

I can never ever finish my sunscreen.
Have been told that it will lose the efficient ingredients within one year, so I always end up with throwing them away!

Well living in the UK, I never get through sunscreen, I actually have the other problem of having to throw it out as it has expired!! |

I went through my Sunkiller in a month. I'm never out of my house during the day, but I work at night around spotlights, so I just put it on anyway. |

It's taken me quite awhile to get through my Sofina. However, my makeup that I put over it also has SPF 15, and my new tinted moisturizer has 20 SPF.
So I'll have my Sofina, TM, then a dusting of my MMU.
I need to get on putting it on the exposed parts of my body every day! I always forget...doh! |

You need sunscreen every day, rain or shine. UV rays (especially UVA, the aging rays) penetrate clouds. You get about 80% of the total rays you'd get on a hot, sunny day on rainy/overcast days. Your signature says you burn easily. Sunscreen is super important for you. Please wear it. My father has cancerous spots removed from his face all the time because he never wore sunscreen. |

In the summer, because there is more skin to cover, I could use 2 tubes a month. In the winter, I use it only on my face, hands, writs and neck. It last a lot longer and I would have to say about 4 or 5 months. |

I use 1/2 tablespoon on my face - and do reapply. I have very fair skin and this was the best advice to avoid wrinkles I ever got. |
