I made the mistake of thinking I could use my NARS cream blush on my eyelid because I loved the color so much. Well, I ended up getting 2 little pimple like lumps (I assume milia?) on both my eyelids. It is now 1 month later and they are still there. One seems like it is kind of white, like a whithead. What do I do to get rid of these? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

I also experienced to have the small "milia" after I applied mascara. I guess it may because the mascara I put is too close to my eyelid. I did not apply anything on it and after a few days, it disappeared by itself. |

I got about 8 of those after using Aveda Tourmaline eye cream. I went to the derm and had her poke them with a needle and extract. I did not trust myself bc of the location. I had them for about 6 months bf I finally went. Good luck. |

Thanks everyone!
Olivia, I think I will go to a dermatologist (never been to one before). I just don't see it going away and I don't want to stick a pin in my eyelid when the skin is so thin there, I am afraid I will hit my eyeball! |

I have milia around my eye area too. Some good folks here recommended to use stuff with Vit A which I tried. I am using Avene Diacneal and it helped with my smaller milia - gone. I still have one huge milia though it's smaller now, it doesn't seem to go away. I probably need to see a derm to get rid of that.
If yours are smaller, you may want to try Vit A first. HTH! |

i had 3 of them! one on my upper eye lid and one each on my lower eyelid (below the eye, the dark circle place). i went to my facialist who took it out w/a needle. he just poked a hole in it, like taking out a splinter, and it eventually worked its way out. the upper one, i was so upset i had it and one day i just sort of picked at it (ok, probably shouldn't have) and it came out - it was like a hardened pimple! ok, that's gross. i heard dermatologists may charge a lot to take it out so something to think about...i would have tried the needle approach if it hadn't come out otherwise. |

I have one on top of my right eyelid. I've been told by two seperate dermatologists because of it's placement, it can't be extracted. It bothers me, but no one else notices it. |

My sis had these. one was large more like a cyst and she had it removed by a derm. I got three tiny ones by one eye. I'll try a cream w/ vita A. Thnaks Goofygal.
PS Are they like whiteheads? Can mineral makeup give these? I think I got two tiny ones recently. I think a brand I was using made me get 2 new little whiteheads on my my nose and switched back to my trusty liquid till new samples I ordered come in. |

Milia is similar to whiteheads. You can google it up and below are two links for your easy reference:

I know Mineral makeup (MMU) can clog pores and potentially result in breakout as I have gone through that. I have raised bumps from it but not really whiteheads yet (hope I didn't jinx it ). Regardless, you should definitely stop that MMU brand if it gives you bumps/acne/whiteheads. I think getting the right cleanser and regular exfoliation is critical and has definitely helped me. |

^^^ Thanks for the links Yep, I stopped using it and am back to my Revlon Skinlights foundation and Lancome concealer. I like them -- but will try the new MMU samples I get. Hope to get better color results too than with the one I was trying |

I found that ZIA's Papaya Enzyme Mask so moist and soothing, is a good balance of gentle and effective for the eye area - it says "a gentle exfoliant for dry skin"...I've used it twice generously above and below my eyes, and it is working to clear some recent mild milia that I caught early - maybe something similiar would help your spots...many brands make gentle enzyme masks and ZIA makes a generous tester size sold for $5.
I've just begun using Alpha Hydrox Retinol Night ResQ eye cream sparingly (underneath my peptide cream) under my eyes about every-other night - but my lids didn't tolerate the retinol at all (just as the packaging said)... very red itchy after one try. |
