Fyrinnae is another mineral makeup company (fyrinnae.com) based in the US. I live in Australia and luckily this ships to Australia.
I am going to be reviewing the products first, and then my ordering experience.
Foundation Colours: I am around NC30 and I ordered Pearl, Citrine, Sunstone and Jade I believe. There are two finishes for the colour - Matt and Sheen (which is basically sparkly lil bits added to the foundation). I would say that Citrine and Sunstone suits me the best, the colours are thankfully not very yellow.
Foundation Finish: This is where the disappointment looms. Unfortunately compared to Every Day Minerals, Fyrinnae's foundation had not "stick". If I was to dab my kabuki into the powder, only a little bit would be picked up. This means that even after three layers, there is barely any product showing up. One layer of foundation - might as well go without.
I would suggest skipping this line of foundation.
Ordering process: This was not too difficult once the navigation of the site is sussed. It did take over a week for my order to be processed, but when it was done so they nicely sent me an email and I received my package soon afterwards.
The samples were sent in the mini-pots which is very nice. There are labels for all the colours at the bottom of the pots.
My only complaint it that the Sample Offer can only be done once. However this was not made known on the website and I ordered two sample packs. The site allowed the two orders to go through and I only found out about this rule when I opened my package.
It would be really nice if they allowed two sample packs to be sent out at once, particularly as shipping costs add up quickly when it is international postage. |

I've been wondering what this company's products were like, so I'm grateful for your review, thankyou.
It sounds as though they are nothing to write home about, essentially.. |

I've tried the Fyrinnae mmu as well, and I didn't have the non-stick problem you describe. I actually rather liked the foundation, although it didn't seem any better quality than EM, so I'm sticking with that for the time being as it's cheaper. That is, until I get the chance to try Alima |

By the way, are you sure that the sample thing wasn't just a mistake on their part? I've only ordered once myself, but I know that others have ordered samples more than once (eyeshadow samples, don't know about the mmu samples). |

This line has been mentioned on Mineral Makeup Mania. Mostly it is the eye shadows that get raves.
What is the sample offer? |

It is shown on the site. But you can either get Blush/Foundation Sample or Eyeshadow/Foundation Sample.
From memory - it is 3 foundation, one finishing powder and 1 blush/eye shadow. |

Sorry, it was written late. But what I meant is that you cannot order more than one sample per go. However the cart let me order two (and charged the very minuscule fee for it). I didn't find out I wasn't going to get two until the package arrived. |

I don't know I just find EM sticks better. If you flip the containers of the EM and the Fyrinnae pots and then go back to normal position, the lid of the EM has more powder sticking on to it.
Also I found the Fy MMU very grainy. It refused to be "crushed".
I want to try Lumiere myself . |

Welcome catski! I always enjoy your posts, so glad mine could help back.
I think their eyeshadows are better. The colour range is excellent and they have quite a few different finishes. But I only got the blush sample and unfortunately that also has the non-sticky problem. Which is good if you like your blush light. |

Thanks for the review! I'd been eyeing the foundations for a while, even though I'm pretty happy with my LilyLolo (as Fyrinnae would work out way cheaper) but I don't think I'll bother now.
I have to say though, in agreement with others, that I think their eyeshadows are pretty good. Huge range of shades and they seem to stay on well. And they will mix up any shade you like for you. |
