I just wanted to report that after 6 months of OCM with salicylic acid followed by Madelic acid 2X per day my pothole pore on my nose is almost not visible. It no longer stands out as the BIG pore. It took about 3 months to see much change but now it is very obvious!

Thanks Scally Very Happy

I'm glad to here that sharky. Gives me hope I can get these two smaller ones of mine even more small.
How did you OCM with salicylic. Did you dissolve aspirin in the oils? or use a powdered version?
I tried ocm and quit it. Too time consuming. Maybe I will give it a go again though and it may be worth it.

I used the SA from the Personal Formulator. I used it to unplug the pores before putting on the Mandelic acid which I put on this pore area after cleaning in the morning and before I go to bed at night. I am using it more widely now but am a little afraid of drying. I think it would work without the OCM. In the winter OCM seems to work well on my face.

Thanks sharky. Maybe I am already doing that Think Minus the ocm.
I put on bha, then mandelic. I have been using the bha every day, sometimes cut back to every other for mandelic-the combo is very drying for me, but in the summer I bet my skin will love it.

can someone elaborate on what exactly OCM is? it's mentioned in several threads, and one linked to a DIY thread, but that was like 24 pages long and scanning the first couple pages i didn't see anything, so i gave up (i'm lazy!) anyone care to give a synopsis or at least a more specific location for info on it?
THANKS

Sharky - do you mean you own SA lotion? Or mix it with the OCM?

I bought some SA powder from the chemist and tried to make my own SA liquid but it didn't work. So if you have any tips I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, congratulations on achieving success ^_^.

I believe it means "Oil Cleaning Method" Something like Caster Oil and Olive Oil. Maybe someone will chime in if this is incorrect. There is also a DIY recipe.

Here's how you do it. Put a warm wet cloth against your face for several minuets. Put any oil you like ie: Extra Vergin Olive Oil (EEOV), Caster Oil on with your finger tips and gently rub in. Wet your cloth again and wipe off the oil. Some people follow this with a mild cleanser.

I'm glad you were able to fix your enlarged pore Sharky. I had a similar issue a couple years ago. A pore in the middle of my forehead just popped open one day to the size of the tip of ballpoint pen (after a little squeezing - yeah, I know, DUMB). I had one plastic surgeon "sand" the pore trying to get it smaller (for $400). I finally got a derm who dug it out and then stitched it back together. My DH was the guinea pig w/ the derm as he had one on his stomach that he had the doc "test" fix first. I've just got a small indent that's mostly only noticeable to me.

I'll keep your method in mind in case I ever have it happen again.
