'Precious deep nourishing oil to help tired skin improve its natural moisture balance.

A light but deep-nourishing oil made from revitalising Musk Rose Oil, nourishing Evening Primrose Oil, protective Peach Oil and gentle Almond Oil. Wild Rose Intensive Facial Oil supports the natural renewal processes of the skin; it increases the skin’s natural resilience and elasticity, reduces the feeling of dryness or tired appearance and the signs of premature ageing are reduced. The skin feels smooth and supple.'

I was given a whole jar of these and at first left them sitting in my drawer as I thought the Weleda Wild Rose range was aimed at more dry skin types and then the time came for me to have a small break from the Decleour Ylang Ylang balm.

With the cold, windy British weather my Oily skin has been feeling a little tight, especially at night after I have cleansed and toned so I thought oh what the hell I will give these a go.

The Oil comes in little capsules which I liked as it is hygenic and the first thing a noticed was the scent, it is so delicate and fresh, normally I am not a big fan of heavy Rose scents but this one is beautiful, even better than the essential balm.

I only needed to apply a few drops of the oil to my face and one capsule lasted me 3 nights (dry skin types may need to apply a little more), the oil is very light, not at all greasy (Dr H Normalising Day Oil is heavier) and was absorbed immediatly into my skin, the tight feeling went away and also no Oily feeling, my skin just felt normal.
In the morning my skin looks lovely and vibrant like when I use the Decleor balm.
I have been using these for a month now and am happy to report no outbreaks and my skin looks lovely, vibrant and fresh.

So will I be repurchasing....absolutely for £10 a jar I think this product is well worth it and easily competes with the higher end of the skin care market.

Ingredients: Musk Rose (Rosa moschata) Oil, Sweet Almond (Prunus dulcis) Oil, Jojoba (Buxus chinensis) Oil, Evening Primrose (Oenothera biennis) Oil, Peach (Prunus persica) Oil, Fragrance (Parfum: natural essential oils of Bergamot (Bergaptin free), Clove, Geranium, Grapefruit, Guaiacwood, Jasmin, Lavender, Neroli, Petitgrain, Peppermint, Rose, Rosemary, Ylang Ylang).

Oh, #&% you beat me to it! I was going to write a review on the Weleda capsules! Laughing

Anyway, I have to agree with you, it is a lovely product! Now my skin is winter dry and I use a capsule on my face, neck and chest every night in combination with Farfalla aloe-shea serum. No breakouts and just lovely soft skin in the morning. Very Happy

Schnee & Rosebud

Thanks for these reviews. Saw this product yesterday while schlepping around the shops & wondered about it.

I had just a day earlier read & followed Wildflower's many entries re carrier oils, especially her morning & evening recommendations for Jojoba oil & rose hip oil treatments. My mature combo skin responded beautifully as we in Ottawa are in the middle of a long, cold snap, -24C at night!! You think it's cold in Britain and Switzerland.....???!!!!

On a strong recommendation, I had purchased about 6 weeks ago Kosmea's organic rose hip oil. Apart from immediately easing an overly aggressive AHA treatment (honestly, am trying to have a lighter hand with my skin...) I was looking for a way to include this gift of nature into my skincare routine. Thanks to Wildflower, I have found it.

But the Weleda product contains lots of other good things that Wildflower had touted.

So thanks so much for your review. Smile Smile Will look to buy it after finishing the Kosmea oil. Besides, I'm passionate about roses - truly one of nature's wondrous gifts.

This sounds very interesting. I wonder how it would compare to emu oil. Would you use this in lieu of emu or in addition to it?

I've only used the Skin Food and face balm, both are great! I love balms because there is little water if any in balms.

I third it! Love these little capsules, when my skin feels dry in winter. And they live in a pretty cobalt glass jar, too, which is nice.

I would also like to know. I googled looking for some place in the USA. Anyone know of any? None of the HFS here carry this. In fact, they carry very little of the Weleda products but Burt's Bees is all over the place.

Their US site states:
Weleda's medicines are available directly through Weleda by phone or fax, as well as through select doctors and wellness centers.
Monday - Friday: 10 am - 6 pm
1-800-241-1030 x5562
http://usa.weleda.com/products/

Probably the best thing would be to call them and enquire who carries their products near you.

Online there are a number of places but many don't seem to carry all Weleda products.

One site:

I've wanted to try these but, as far as I can tell, they aren't sold in the US. I've only found them on UK retail sites. There is a similar product I've sampled and LOVED: Renouvelle capsules. They're pricey- 40.00/30caps. I've seen them on sale, though.

From the info on Weleda's N. American website, it doesn't seem Weleda's rose oil is sold in capsules in the U.S. or Canada:
http://usa.weleda.com/esthetics/wild_rose_facial_care.asp

But their bottled wild rose oil looks similar in ingredients and is available online from multiple sources. It may be thicker / richer as it says "body oil":
http://usa.weleda.com/details/?id=9939

Again, if anyone has questions about their products, I would call Weleda customer service directly.

Has anyone tried their calendula cream? Its price is much more adorable than that of the Jurlique calendula cream.

I see:
Wild Rose Body Oil Travel Size 0.34oz from Weleda
http://www.ihealthtree.com/wild-rose-body-oil-trial-size-0-34oz-twinlab.html
Pampering skin care. Harmonizes and revitalizes the skin and the senses. Organic Musk Rose Oil and Sweet Almond Oil, high in essential fatty acids, nourishes and softens the skin, improving elasticity.
Ingredients: Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Rosa Moschata (Rosehip) Seed Oil, Rosa Damascena Extract, Fragrance (Parfum from natural essential oils)*, Limonene*, Linalool*, Citronellol*, Benzyl Alcohol*, Geraniol*, Citral*, Eugenol*, Farnesol*.

So it's possible to try the rose "body" oil at a low price and see if it's good for your face. They have other travel size products (for example, lavender body oil, sea buckthorn body oil) which would be a good way to try other Weleda stuff as well. I might order from this site. The prices look good too.

I bought these after the reviews as it's not a product I would usually think about buying. So far I'm loving them!
My skin has been looking so dry and parched of late. I've been using Retin A sparingly over areas of my face which made the problem even worse. I'm also using EpidermxII, so I didn't want to add another 'strong; product into my regime at the moment.
Using the rose capsules at night under my Osea APC has helped, amazingly so. HA serums just weren't doing the job for me. As far everyday my skin is looking plumper, healthier and more importantly less dehydrated and dry. Haven't broke out from using this product, as yet, and i'm hoping I won't.
I love the way it comes in capsules, it makes it so much easier to use, and less messier and so much more hygienic. I'm more inclined to use these in a capsule form than in a dropper bottle. I'm really enjoying using these. Have noticed that Primavera also do rose oil capsules, they look a little more expensive but would be interested if anyone else has tried these either.

The body oils works wonderful for the face too. I use the wild rose oil daily under my sunscreen. It feel a bit lighter than the capsules, which I use at night a few times a week and after a long day in the sun.

After searching product reviews on makeup alley (man, you can spend hours on there!), I discovered that this product gets excellent reviews.

I'm curious to know if any of my EDS girlfriends use or have used this product? It sounds great. A litte hard to find on-line for U.S. and Canada though. Saffron Rouge has it for $28.50 CD.....so far the best deal I've found.

Well, I ordered these today! I've been eyeing up the Decleor line for some time now, but can't bear to spend that much $$ on oils! We'll see if this lives up to all the fab reviews it's gotten.
