The GOW bha/aha cleanswer is 5.5 ph. So, I guess I should wait 30 minutes before my ACV toner eh?
Also, I noted that you are very knowledgable about sunscreens . . . what do you use and why?
totally hijacking this thread :0

5.5 is to high for an effective exfoliant - so that product is not exfoliating your skin well at all. Sorry.
BHA and AHA both need to be at a lower pH to effectively exfoliate the skin. work best at 5% to 8% concintrations or so, with about a 3 pH. (or less) BHA need 1- 2% with a 3 pH or less.
Otherwise it is pretty much ineffective.
Apple cidar vinegar is about a pH or 2-3, depending on cncentration.
Sunscreens, I use a few different types, depending on situation, and area, and UV exposure level.
Neutrogenia Dry Touch on face topped with a minerial powder screen.
Banana Boat Aerosal Sport on body for day use. Or if in alot of exfposure, Spectra 3 by Coppertone, or Ocean Potion for body. |

The orange bits are probably your CoQ10. It is tricky to blend. No I dont think its "bad" just thickness dictates whn you use it in relatin to other ingrediants.
But DMAE works best applyed to clean skin. Not layered over other stuff.
You have lots of creams, but its hard to layer a serum OVER a cream and get both to absorb. Serums normally do best UNDER creams. They tend not to absorb well otherwise.
A cream can go over a cream, but then you deal with your Activities, and the ingredaints and pH.
If its pH sensitive like acids, applying it over another product, with a higher pH makes it ineffective. Or applying anything with a higher pH over it, within the first 30 min, makes it ineffective. |
Hi Tangal,
I asked Denise re: the ph in her products, and her answer is this:
"Actually, I have never tested or been asked to test the PH of the Eye Dreams or the Face Dream Lift, but I have never had any complaint of them being irritating to even the most sensitive skin of my customers. Thanks, Denise-The Dream Products" |
