So what does everyone use to Fake Tan their faces?
And how the hell do you fit the product in to your daily regimes, at the moment I am cleansing with my homemade version of Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream which is made with ground almond meal (almonds have a whitening effect).
In the mornings I moisturise with Dr Hauschka Normalising day oil and at night I either use an oil or Decleur Aromaessence Ylang Ylang Balm.
Anyway I would love to hear any suggestions and would like to know what fake tans you all use for your face.
I would especially like to find any low cost or drugstore suggestions.
Oh and I am quite pale too.

I'm very pale indeed, rosebud, and my absolute all-time top facial self-tanner is Clarins Liquid Bronze. It looks very natural, not orangey and not too dark on pale skin. It's also extremely easy to apply. I've never had a single streak from it.

When I apply it, I just use my normal eye cream and facial moisturiser (skipping my serums for that night), wait for those to sink in a little, then the self-tanner goes on top.

Quite a few women that I know who use fake tans skip their faces and use a bronzer or mineral makeup instead. One of the reasons for this is that the tan will fade more quickly on the face if using regular exfoliation and/or microdermabrasion... also glycolics, green cream, etc. that turn the skin cells over more quickly effect the length of the tan so it can be hard to maintain a fake tan on the face, neck and chest, depending on which products one uses and how often.

Take care.
Bosoxy.

I agree with the above, but for those times when you don't have time to apply mineral makeup to get your face to match your neck/body, I do put self tanner on my face.

I do have a favourite self tanner. I am very pale, even though my mother is Trini and my dad is French Canadian and both tan extremely well, even dark. Don't know what happened to me, but I am like Casper. I have tried every self tanner out there, and the colour that looks the best on me is St Tropez. Better than any mystic tan booth-thing. I do like the 3 step application system, but you don't always have to follow that, the tanning mousse is the important part. I like the mousse consistency, and the best part, is that it dries instantly and sets right in. Doesn't make my skin greasy AT ALL. The colour looks great on me.

I recently went to a wedding that was basically like a high school reunion, and i had my mum help me apply this everywhere, and i looked great in the pics thanks to my tan!

I'd agree with steffers about St Tropez being very good - but for those of us with very pale skin, it can look very dark, orangey and artificial on the face. It always did for me, so I only wore it on my body - where it actually seemed fine and gave a good colour.

I played with many self-tan products last summer since I could never get my face even with my body. What ended up working the best for me was to use a gradual tanner on my body(my fave is Loreal Sublime Glow) and to use a regular tanner on my face/neck. For my face/neck I found Savage Bronze to work very well and it's much less expensive than St. Tropez. Since we exfoliate our faces with all of the products we use, I found that this method works best for me.

I have fake tanned before I did not like it because: You have to wait 36 hrs to shower to let it "set"...I just felt dirty. Also, if you have any wrinkles at all that area may not tan and when you move you can get white lines where it didnt tan.(like my knees). I confess I use a sunbed now just to get a glow on body which covers my varicose veins nicely..I always cover my face and neck area and then just feather a MAC bronzer in to highlight areas of face to make it look like my face and neck are tanned.I avoid sun on my face at all costs. Also for some reason if I do use the sunbed for my body I hold my tan for a really long time I dont have to go often.
