I have a can of the grape water and I noticed that the only ingredient is grape water. I used it once and oddly enough found myself very concerned about the fact that this product DOES NOT have any preservatives. So I am wondering if a product like this needs a preservative.
I would not drink grape juice that has been opened for a few weeks. Yet I would buy grape juice that was processed a year ago and drink it. Maybe the fact that the bottle is unopened has something to do with it. The Grape Water can does seem to be airtight. Or does grape juice have preservatives added? I have no idea.
Any thoughts?
BTW I can't believe that so many of you like the smell of this. It smells like raisins to me and while I like raisins the idea of spraying something on my face that smells like them is very unapealing to me! |

Thanks for the raisins smell warning...I love grapes but don't like raisins. |

I think they probably have a high tech clean manufacturing process and so the product being air tight is all that's needed as a preservative.
Perhaps the natural potassium salts in the grape water help to preserve it. |

I don't know how much actual juice is in the grape water. The juice from the fruit goes towards making wine, so they would probably want to waste as little of it as possible.
I think the grape water comes from the water that is used during the process of separating out the grape skins and seeds. Therefore, yes there is juice, but maybe not too much. So as the product is almost all water maybe the mineral salts they add, like rebelgirl mentioned, would be enough to give a preservative action. |

raisins? I always get a whiff of brown sugar-like smell in the seconds after use... |
