denisiel, I am curious about this Iluminage Laser. How much tightening do you get from this laser? How much lifting? I find that many products/devices work well on those who are young and just starting to show mild aging, but they do not work well on someone with more mature/aged skin (like me). I am searching for a non-surgical lifting/tightening treatment that would show noticeable tightening/lifting on truly lax, sagging skin. Any thoughts out there on any treatments that work for someone like me?

Hi BellesBeautyShop,

I just turned 50 and people tell me I look in my 30s. Part can be genetics (I'm Asian) but I also spent a lot of time in the sun when I was younger and didn't use sunscreen so am battling pigmentation and aging skin.

I find that when I do the Iluminage for a few months and then take a break, my skin is less saggy, especially on the cheeks. I also use microcurrent and that helps a alot with sagging but only lasts a day or two before the effect is gone. I work out regularly so I can't say the plump cheeks are from being overweight like I've seen in some people.

I am seriously considering getting a professional laser treatment when I can figure out which is the best for my issues. All these at home devices have some effect but are so time consuming that I think it's worth the cost to get them done professionally if that means no daily maintenance.

I heard RF is good for sagging but I have melasma so avoid it.

For tightening (at home), tretinoin is the great and so is microneedling.
