I'm interested in hearing about results for spider veins and redness. So far I don't see any postive results for these problems. |

Virginia, I have broken capillaries on my cheeks and have found that they are no longer as noticeable as before I started using the BQ. They are definitely still there, I think you really need a full laser treatment to get rid of them, but significantly calmer looking. HTH. |

Hi catski,
Yes, it's true that your ear has all the points - it is like an inverted fetus when the points are diagrammed (similar in idea to reflexology where hands and feet have all of the body systems represented).
I know I have issues with my yin meridians - especially spleen needs stimulation, so I use the Quasar along the line of the meridian - in the direction that the meridian flows (up the leg). I leave it on a point for at least 20 seconds before moving to the next point. I kind of leave it up to intuition about how long...
Two sites with online meridian charts are:
http://www.acumedico.com/meridians.htm
http://www.yinyanghouse.com/acupuncturepoints/locations_theory_and_clinical_applications
Hope this info helps some. Lasers are used often in Chinese medicine / energy medicine. They are good because they stimulate the points internally (past the skin point).
Of course, when you don't have lasers, needles, etc., you can use your fingers (acupressure). Healing with hands can do wonders as well as we are all energy systems and that energy flows through our hands. There are a number of good books out there for lay people. One is "Acupressure's Potent Points" by Michael Reed Gach. A good resource to learn about "Energy Medicine" iswww.innersource.net - a lot of Donna Eden's work uses the Chinese meridian system. Learning points and techniques is very empowering as you can help yourself. |
That's very helful, thankyou lunarm. I think most if not all women have spleen issues, it's a deeply feminine thing, so yes, I could do with some toning of that meridien also! So you trace the meridien, using the laser device, and stop on points for as long as you intuitively feel.. yes?
I do acupressure on myself for various ailments, and have learned the meridiens from the Donna Eden book.
Prior to getting the light stim I was planning on get†ing an acu laser, but I thought I could combine the usage of this device, but have no one to share with about it, so I'm glad to meet you!
When I hold it against my ear I do feel a clearing and a desire to sleep. I also hold it against my wrist to cover some lung points and P6, to clear my breathing before going to sleep at night, as I have a cat and am allergic to her.
Are you experiencing palpable benefits from your laser use in this way?
Acupressure is so distinct and instantaneous, and this is so different, I havent got a handle on it yet.
Thankyou for your very thorough reply to me, I appreciate it.
It occured to me that part of the facial rejuvenation we are getting with this device is what is called an 'acupuncture face lift".. |

Catski,
Feel free to PM me. Would love to chat more about energy medicine and I'm not sure if we are vearing too much OT. But I do think I'll start a new thread re: acupressure for the face.
But you're right, when we use certain devices, we are doing facial "acupuncture". I actually feel this when I use the Nuface as well. It reminds me of the feeling of a TENS machine and it is electrical stimulation. I figure the Nuface can be used on other parts of the body for the same purpose. I'm a multitasker/multipurpose user! Seems you are too
I know that the things I am doing are benefiting me because I started seeing a Donna Eden Energy Medicine Senior Practitioner. Even though I don't do my "homework" as much as I should, the energy changes we have been working on have been holding.
And, yes, spleen is generally weak in women (related to all our hormone changes) - so most women could do with strengthening spleen. And in the rush rush world of today, sedating triple warmer (going against the flow of the meridian) is recommended to calm. |

* carefully smoothing hair behind my ears as I respond*
I just saw your other post with all those resources you listed, so now I'm all excited. Fantastic post. Will spend time looking them up.
I'd love to go to a Donna Eden course - she does sometimes come to Europe.
As you say, we mustnt threadjack too much, so I will only add that I'm saving my pennies to get the nuface, so I'm happy to hear you say that using it can be a multi - level experience also.
Thankyou for the offer of pm - ing you, that is very generous. |

Hi, I've used all the products and upgraded to the SP from the Baby Q - very, very glad I did, actually. Speaking of which, I need to do a treatment tonight.
Regarding the Nuface, I've had positive results from the start and only recently realized (due to someone's post in the thread) that Dr. Perricone did some testing w/a similar device and noted significant results with using DMAE afterwards. This is how I've always used the Nuface (first thing I do in the morning - even before washing my face, usually). Perhaps, that is why it's worked so well for me and the results are visible. |

Thanks everyone who participated in this poll. I decided to bump it up one last time to see if we get anyone else to respond. Hopefully it has helped anyone on the fence with these two devices.

Winnie;
I have received my BQ approximately a week ago and have been using it nightly with the anti-acne regimen (that James has developed for me).
So far I am not seeing much. James said that with acne it usually gets worse before it gets better. Has that been your/your daughter's experience with her acne problems? If yes - how long did the "worse" phase last before she started seeing improvements?
I will continue to use BQ for another few days and then I'll respond to the poll.
Thanks, R. |

Hi rubby
From what I can remember the first week of using the BQ everyday my daughters acne looked worse. She had a lot of undergrounders which many came to the surface. From week two on her skin started to look clearer. While clearing up her skin she used the BQ daily on RED and GREEN settings only. Now she uses the BQ twice a week. Her skin looks so much better. Try to stick with it faithfully for a couple of more weeks. Stay in touch with James so he can fine tune your treatments. |

Yes, that's what I've been doing (as per James' instructions). James is currently away at a conference so he is not so easy to get a hold of, but I hope to talk to him soon.
Do you by any chance remember for how many weeks was you daughter on a daily schedule (red and green light)? Thanks, R. |

rubby as I can remember approximately 3 weeks. My daughter has tough skin. I don't think daily use can hurt at all. However, you skin might get very dry. IMO the whole idea is to bring the acne to the surface and dry it out. Good luck to you. |
