CaspersMum, I love your photos. From your 1980 picture you still look the same today. Thought you looked like your mother but from the family photo I would say more like your dad. Thank you for sharing with us....adorable!!! Now, tell your co-workers not to be shy. Wink

phredd4, what a cutie you were. Smile So, that picture was taken in 1965 and same year as my wedding photo posted. You could have been my flower girl. Laughing

Yes, my brothers and I all looked like our Dad as children. My brother Jordan (the one next to myself in the pic) looked exactly like our Dad as a little boy.

Everyone says that I look like my Mum now, but quite frankly, I don't see it. My Mum is gorgeous, and I can only wish to be a beautiful as she when I'm 56!

Well I finally got around to scanning some old pictures! It took me awhile to figure it out! I really enjoyed looking at everyone's pics from the past and present, Winnie this was an excellent idea, and your family is very beautiful... everyone's pics are great!

Here's a little peek at my history, the first one was taken waaaaaaayyyyyyy back in the 60's, notice the retro wall paper and the green refridgerator? My mom also donned curlers on us every school nite! We hated them so much...our heads would hurt in the morning from the curlers digging into our scalps Laughing This one is of my mom, brother and my little sis and me:
Image

This one was taken when I was only 15 years old, man that was a long time ago!

Image

And here is one of me and my brother taken when I was around 30 years old, the same age as our precious Mabsy! It seems just like yesterday, geeze those 30's sure flew by! Crying or Very sad

I remember sleeping in rollers! Shudder, shudder!
Also, I had that same haircut when I was 15, but my hair was curly and it did horribly, back before straight irons.
Thanks for sharing, they are great.

Laughing Actually Katee, I was a goody-two shoes back at 15. I remember it well because we moved to a small logging town so my dad could start his own business and I was quiet and shy and wore the most baggy clothes and never wore makeup or did my hair (obviously)!

But changes happened really quick when I ended up hanging with the wrong crowd! So no I wasn't stoned there, at least not in that high school picture Rolling Eyes

AnnieR, I think my mom cut my hair back then, and actually my dad was known to throw a bowl ontop of our heads to cut our bangs once and awhile! We couldn't afford to go to the hairdresser, maybe only like once a year!

Ruth, thankyou so much for the sweet compliment, I think I held my age pretty well since I NEVER wore sunscreen and loved to sit in the sun all day slathered in baby oil! The damage is starting to show up now in my 40's though! Crying or Very sad

I should also point out that after I posted these pics I realized that the first one was actually from the 70's, I'm thinking it was taken when I was around 10 years old or so and I was born in '65. Smile

moosette, your 60 or 70 photo brings back many fond memories for me. God, those rollers. I can remember sleeping on BRUSH rollers every night. Shock And the way your kitchen is decorated looks like my house (back in the sixties of course Laughing ). Wink Thanks for sharing your memories. You looked like a real sweetie. Smile

I was darling. These where my FAVORITE dolls (JEM dolls) and to show them my appreciation what did I do? I ran over them with my big wheel repeatedly so they had to be glued and bolted back together.. and I guess I liked to chew on them also? Those are big wheel skid marks all over their faces and bodies. Just darling.

Caspers Mum- you're such a cutie! Is your hair still that blonde?

Moosette- you do age well. You remind me of my mother in that you didn't really wear sunblock and slathered on baby oil.... my mom's skin aged well. In fact, she still looks 10 years younger with her skin so smooth. I'm so jealous b/c I've always been pretty good about wearing sunblock and I have more fine lines than she does. Of course back in the 60's your skin was more naturally protected by the ozone. Just keep taking care of your skin and stop exposing your skin to sun (wear hats, suncreen, etc) and you should continue to age well, I'd think. At least that's what happened with my mom... she didn't bake in the sun after she had kids and has always been good about limiting her exposure to the sun. But maybe your skin was unlucky to be exposed to sun through a depleted ozone and therefore sustained more damage. (You are younger than my mom). In any case, take care of your skin! Wink

Keilu- you are good lookin' and look so young!

PhoebesMeow- you're such a cute kid! (And you are good lookin' now of course too!)

And 2 years old (?). At one point I actually got to bouncing so hard on this horse that I flew off and hit my head on the corner of a coffee table. Several stitches later, I still love horses (and pushing the limits). Smile
