... I've been washing mine with Burt's Bees Baby Shampoo and wash, and while it definitely takes a couple days to dry (it's a very dense brush), it's always good as new afterwards. However, I've had the problem you describe with other brushes before, and I'm almost totally convinced that there was some sort of residue left on them when I washed them with the wrong thing. I'd be interested to hear what anyone else thinks. Try washing it again with a gentle, silicone-free shampoo, and then put it on a towel in the least humid part of your house to dry--- that might help! Keep me updated!^-^ |
Hi Liz, sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but do you think washing with the Bobbi Brown Blush cleanser will work for Alima brushes? |

Hi pumpingmummy, sorry for the late response-- I think it should be fine.
Also, in other news I just saw on the Alima website that the #25 is out of stock AGAIN--- looks like we bought em out, ladies! |

I have been using the #25 a few days now, and I am thinking that it gives a lighter coverage than using my BB kabuki. Does anyone else notice this? Or am I using it wrong? I have been just gliding it over my face, not making circles, or buffing or anything. I'm actually having a hard time figuring out exactly how to use this brush!! |

I find after using it a couple times and experimenting with the brush on initial application it does apply a lighter, sheerer application than the usual kabuki or as I compared with my Smashbox. However with layering I find at the end Alima gives me more coverage with 2-3 layers than with my other brushes as I find that with my other brushes they just end up buffing my MU too much. I use it in circles. However I find I can't really use the brush after I use concealer or 25 is brush it away, so I use my JI Handi to do a final layer to set the concealer or if I'm using MMU concealer I use the final layer to help better blend it as the concealer is obviously a lighter colour. |
