Has anyone had any positive results with the epidermal growth factor from skin actives. I got the sea kelp a few days ago, and was looking at this to maybe add to. I don't know. |

I use it as an ingredient in a formula. I have never used it as the sole active in a formula, so it's hard to answer your question. |

I also bought some EGF from SA but after reading some posts about people suffering hair loss (eyebrows in particular) I got scared and never used it again. |

I received my first order from skinactives, and added the egf to the marine serum.
Seems to be just amazing! It's only been a week, and every minor skin issue has improved--from fine lines and hyperpigmentation to improved firmness and the elusive glow I've been seeking. My skin wasn't bad to begin with (I'm 30-something and always hoping to look closer to twenty-something than forty-something!) and have been diligently using a dermawand, active serum, dmae, and skinceuticals c+e+ferulic which arrived last month. But it's improved in one week to the point where people are noticing and asking whether I'm in love because I'm just glowing!
To be fair, I also started using supercop serum at the same time and it wouldn't be fair to attribute positive results to just the egf. I've been slathering on the egf-marine serum and the supercop like they're sunscreen or something, and so far, no "uglies!"
Maybe the egf is helping to prevent them?
No eyebrow loss. Maybe the hairgrowth-enhancing supercop is balancing this out? |

Tried one tube of EGF and mixed it in with Seakelp Bioferment, then mixed that in with other things like Alpha Lipoic Acid, CoQ10, Grape Seed Proanthocynanidins. Also used L-Ascorbic Acid and Vitamin A (retinyl palmitate) in separate, layered formulations about the same time.
Not sure about its effects at all - my skin has dramatically improved with 7 months of DIY, but I can't directly attribute this to EGF.
For the price, I am not trying it again. There are LOTS of other actives to use which are more economical, and which have made a huge difference. |

I am using it in my skin serum. My skin is doing fine but I do not know whether it is due to the EGF as I use a lot of actives.
I have heard not to put it in hair formulas but for my face that is a good thing. I would like ti get rid of the peach fuzz and I have not seen that happen. My eyebrows are doing fine. |
