| What is your preference - acrylic or Gel? I have had acrylic nails in the past but was wondering about gels. Are they thinner and more realistic looking? |

Penelope,
I worked at a nail salon, and GEL is more nicer! And about the thin part, it just depends on who does your nails. They look more real, IMO. |

| gel's didn't work for me. they peeled and broke within a week and a half. I also found my nail beds HURT when they were under the light and for a couple days afterwards. they are not for me... |

Acrylics are a lot stronger. If you tend to be hard on your nails stick with the acrylic. I have only had the gels once and they only lasted a week before they were peeling!
Both are really bad for your natural nails though  |

Yes. I agree that fake nails are really bad for you. I'd would never get mine done, because they all they do is your real nails...  |
