Actually I don't think that you are whining at all. I think you make a very valid point. If this owner/operator of that website does not want you to question their products then their credibility should be called into question. This is one of the aspects about this site that I really love. Even if a product is not sold through this website people here are freely able to post messages about a product and give reviews no matter what.
I would have to seriously question a beauty website that censors what the readers post (unless it is vulgar language) because it seems to me the whole point of a beauty message board is to inform and tip and not to sell their own products. If they only want to sell their products, then perhaps they shouldn't have a message board and instead have a "testimonial" section where they can monitor and doctor the entries. |

I agree with Anna. Whenever I come across a forum that only allows discussions of their own products, I know it's not the place for me. A "fan forum" is not created to educate; it's created to praise one product line or company. |
