I don't think you should get him a card or even bring up his b-day. I totally understand where he's coming from and yes it's a place of denial; so be it. You really want to do something nice for your man....give him what he wants, nix the b-day wishes, screw his brains out, tell him how sexy he is, how much he turns you on, etc. In my experience men are very easy to please. Just my 2 cents.  |

RESPECT HIS WISHES!!!! My 40th is the end of Aug and I threatened my DH with divorce if he does anything for me  All I want is a really nice dinner downtown w/ him. |

| A bit late as you've had so much good advice already, but I'd suggest planning something nice that you know he'll enjoy (a nice meal, movie, whatever), tell him you want him to have a great time because you love him a lot and don't mention the B-word . |
