I have bought some Lumiere MMU. I've managed to mix a perfect match with the samples, but they've nearly all run out. The full size colours I chose are all too dark, is it possible to mix them with one of the veils to lighten? I've already emailed the guy there over a week ago, but haven't heard anything back yet. I'm LOVING this make up, so want to be able to use it. Also have lots of parties coming up that I need to look great for!

send your email again, Kim usually responds in less than a day. I would try mixing with one of the veils to test it, just a little though in a lid or something. It can't hurt, but I think the finish might be a little off. |

yeah, just did. Think I'll have a little tester tonight! I have a feeling it might make me look a bit chalky tho. I think the reason I haven't tested it yet is because I don't really know what the veil is for. I tried it once, applying it after my make up, and it just made me look a bit pale and dusty. Although that was Everday Minerals, so maybe lummieres will be better.

Kim has a plain base for her foundation formulas that you can get specifically to lighten them up. If you use the Veena Velvet, you'd get the VV Base etc.
HTH!

yeah I received an email from her today. She also said that you CAN mix the veils to lighten, but you wouldn't have as much coverage, so yes it's probably best to just get her plain base. I decided just to order a new foundation, much easier! I was also a bit naughty and ordered some Alima as well. I'm such a sucker for 'rave' reviews!
Thanks for your help |

I emailed Kim more than a week ago regarding colour match but I still haven't got a reply yet. |

Lumiere is in the process of a move and I don't think her computers are completely up yet. Check out Delphi - there is a Lumiere board there - and someone on there can help answer some of the questions you might have. I know Kim said at one point she had about 150 emails to respond to! If you post over there under "Questions for Miss Kim" someone will help you.
She has some really great products and is just having a few growing pains at the moment. |

That's what happened to me. Once I emailed her directly, she got straight back to me and was very helpful.
I did the mix thing today. I mixed some veena veil in with the darker colours, I also added a tiny bit of beige from EM. The colour came out really well. I thinkI actually prefer it. I look really bronzed, but with out looking fake, or blushered. I've managed to make the colour I go when I get a tan. Oooh I do love MMU, It's so versatile. I'm mixed race and seem to change colour all the time, so this stuff is perfect!
