Sofina's Perfect UV Nuance Up SS?
I have dry skin and was wondering which one of these SS is the most moisturizing.
I have looked on MUA but I found it quite confusing - pink lids, green lids, the name changes etc.
I'd appreciate any assistance.
Thanks.

In addition to finding out if any of these are physical s/s, I love to know if these sting when applying or a few minutes after. I have sensitive skin and run into the stinging with many s/s. |

Emma,
The Lucent and Nuance are the exact same sunscreen, just different colors (pink/white). I have normal to dry skin and absolutely LOVE my Sofina Nuance. I would much rather rely on a separate moisturizer that works well for my skin than to try and find one in a sunscreen. I suggest you do what I do, try the Sofina Nuance or Lucent and apply it after your moisturizer. I have no problems with this whatsoever and now dislike my skin if I don't use my Sofina. It's an awesome primer! |

Just want to second what Tam said. I consider Sophina Nuance one of my best finds from EDS boards. |

Do we know if EDS is considering carrying Sofina sunscreen products? I'm going to look for that thread so that I can put my vote in there. |

May I ask what is so wonderful about Sofina sunscreen? I need to start using sunscreen (I've been a bad girl), and I never really new there was much of a difference in sunscreen. My friend likes PTR because it is a gel, which seems really nice, but everyone seems to love Sonfina!?! |

Does anyone know if Sofina s/s remains photo-stable when used with mineral makeup? |

I have tried many, including another popular one LRP Anthelios 60+ but Sofina is the only one that looks completely matte and never gets oily on me. I even have normal to dry skin so you'd think I could get away with some of the others but I can't. And, Sofina is an awesome makeup primer. It is also completely non-irritating (some sunscreens sting!) and transparent. I have never burned or had freckles appear since I have been using this ss. Even though it comes in a tiny bottle, it also lasts forever! This is definitely one of my best finds...thank you EDS! |

rcascone -- I absolutely agree with Tamgirl. I LOVE this sunscreen - and I've tried many.
I have very oily skin and am phobic about anything making me look shiny or oilier. NEVER happens with the Sofina (I use the Lucent).
The only downside is that I have to buy it online as it's not available in the U.S. I guess the price is a downside, too...but I really don't mind spending a few extra bucks for a product that I really like! |

Im having trouble finding the complete ingrediant list No one posts them on the MUA reviews
Someone on MUA did mention in their review it has zinc and tio in it but I want to know if its combined with any chemical sunscreens as i want a purely physical one. Google hasnt turned up anything yet so if anyone who has it can you Please tell me Thanks
I did find this
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=13598&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
But i think that was the ingrediants for uv cut milk so i dont know if the nuance is different or not. It does seem to have 1 chemical filter in it. |

Well if they're avobenzone free which i think they are then you'll be fine |

I'm so curious...how did everyone discover this brand of sunscreen anyway? Word of mouth? |

It was pure luck for me to come across this sunscreen. Before discovering Sofina, I HATED Sunscreen and was always in search for a good sunscreen that I do not feel resistant to applying to my face. Then one day when I was browsing through the cosmetic counters I casually tested Sofina's SS on my hand and was totally amazed! It instantly dried matter and even felt somewhat powdery on my hand. So I bought one with zero hesitation (and I chose Nuance Up at the SA's recommendation). That was the beginning of my love affair with Sofina. It is the only irreplaceble product in my regimen. Now I actually look forward to using it as my last step of my AM routine. It dries matte nicely and make my face look even-toned no matter how many layers I have applied underneath. LOVE IT!!! |
