What works best on your sesitive skin? Right now I am using almost all Dr. H products:
Cleansing Milk
Toner
Cleansing creme once a day
Rose cream with a small amount of mositurizing day cream
Once a week mask either rejuvenating or firming
I did the ampoules, sensitive skin ones for a few weeks and they worked great but are a little expensive to use all the time.
I was sent a few Decleor samples with my last order, thanks EDS, and am in love with the Essential balm for night time. Would love to hear from people with sensitive skin about what works for you. |

I have the Decleor Rose d'Orient balm and oil and the Essential balm, and the Ylang Ylang balm and oil.
I use Dr. Hauschka's Cleansing cream, their eye balm, the clay mask, and occasionally the Rejuvinating mask. I have a stash of the lip balm and sticks.
I have some Ice Elements anti-aging serum, the moisturizer, and the eye cream.
I've recently added Vivier C serums and like them way more than any of the Cellex-C products. |

Hi, I have sensitive skin too. Here is what I am using now
Awake cleansing gel, la mer cleansing creme
Photomer rose water (I also use it for masks)
darphin hydra light as day/night cream
I always have la mer lotion and creme in hands. I found that my skin could get sensitive to anything, but not la mer lotion/creme. I use them when I travel, just a tiny bit is enough for the whole face, and it keeps my face hydrated for a long time |

Last post before going to bed.
Special care items I am using now
Eye creams
Sisley lip and eye balm
Declor harmony eye gel
Cellcosmet eye cream (very nice)
Chantecaille eye cream
masks:
Sisley flower express (I sleep with it twice a week)
Valmont renewing pack
There is one more product I'd like to mention, Guerlain Orchidee cream. I use it at night twice a week. It's suppose to be rich, but it's not heavy or oily at all. It makes my skin soft and fresh like baby skin, and smells very good too :P Though if I use it every night for a week or longer, the results aren't as good any more. That's why I only use it a couple of times a week.
My skin is rather sensitive. So these products should be relatively safe to try.
Too sleepy to remember everything. I will add more tomorrow. |

I have sensitive skin at times and alternate between the following products depending on my mood and how my skin looks at the time:
Decleor Rose d'Orient Oil
Decleor Rose D'Orient Night Balm
Decleor Harmonie Soothing Cream
Decleor Alpha Morning
ADCE and prep
Rose Hip Oil
Dottoressa Reynaldi Day Cream
LRP Anthelios SPF 50+ Face Formula
For eyes:
PSF Cranberry
Rose Hip Oil
I also like to use an aspirin mask or Juice Beauty Apple Peel on occasion.
I've been alternating these products for some time now and notice that my skin isn't nearly as sensitive as it used to be. |

Forgot to mention that I also don't use a cleanser and only wash with water and a cloth. This seems to have benefitted my sensitive skin, as well. |

I use the Dr H line as well: Cleansing Cream, Cleansing Milk, Clarifying Toner, Rose Day Cream, and the cosmetics. I found the Primavera line to be really great as well but more pricey than Dr H. If your skin is hypersensitive you may also want to look into Lavera's skin care line. The regular line is great for all skin types including sensitive skin and they also have a separate line for the super sensitive. |

I no longer think of myself as sensitive- just prone to irritation.
A dermatologist gave me a very good advise, if you have sensitive skin or have known allergies then minimising the number of skin care product is the best way to look after your skin and prevent reaction.
He advised that when you add cleanser, toner and moisturiser (which doesn't seem like much) can easily add up to over 100 ingredients on the skin. To minimise irritation you minimise the # of ingredients that go on the skin and that's either by cutting down the # of products you use or look for products with no more than 10 ingredients on the list or preferably both.
I have noticed Avene Recovery Cream has about 11 ingredients and try to avoid toners if I can. Abit hard as I like the refreshing feel of toners... |

rose, rose, and more rose.
anything in the rose family or with the name "rose" in it is great for sensitive skin!
my fave rose products:

and rose otto:

Rose Otto
Natural rose oil will hydrate the skin without clogging the pores. A very good antiseptic, calming, soothing, healing tonic for the capillaries. It is a cell regenerator and an anti-depressant while it permeates in a way to allow the skin to breath naturally. |

Thanks for all the great suggestions, it seems more rose might be the way to go and I think LizaA has it right and that the less you put on your skin when it is really acting up, the better. My skin was so bad about 2 years ago all I could use was Eucerin and now I have slowly been working with adding new products but I find that when I use too many, my skin revolts. |

Best thing for my sensitive skin has been Laventine cleansing oil. And Image SPF15 oil-free gel sunscreen -- not the best protection, but for a while I was so sensitive that everythiing else stung my skin or stank too much. |

marci65, I've tried Image skin care and loved the results but could only find limited range from Robert Scott Face and Body website, where do you buy your Image skin care online? Thanks! |

The best things for my dry sensitive/reactive skin so far have been Cle de Peau La Creme, Yon-Ka Cleansing Milk, and Babor Hy-Ol with Babor Phytoactive Sensitive. |

I have finally found some products that make my skin happy. I agree that too many products can create havoc with sensitive skin. I often jump to buy several new products at one time and my skin immediately rebels! Currently I am enjoying the following products:
Diana Yvonne Rose Hip Seed Cleanser
Garden of Wisdom Cucumber HA Serum
Garden of Wisdom HA - White Peony Tea
Diana Yvonne Clear Emu Oil
PSF Phyto-Lift Cranberry Eye Treatment
Orlane B21 Extreme Line Reducing Lip Care
Decleor Hydra Floral Moisturizing Emulsion
Decleor Aromessence Rose D Orient for Reactive and Sensitive Skin
Decleor Aromessence Neroli
Diana Yvonne Lactobase A
I don't use every one of the products every day, however I use them all several times a week. I also use GOW Mandellic Acid, DMAE, Vitamin C and Copper Peptides. These are products that you have to be more careful with and build up your skin's ability to tolerate them over time.
I am getting a lot of compliments from family and friends on how much better my skin looks. I have even been asked if I have had plastic surgery! I am 58 years young, so I am satisfied with my progress. This has been over the last 6 months. My skin is very fair and VERY sensitive. I would still not go anywhere with no makeup, but I will go with just a dusting of MMU and a touch of eyeliner. That is a vast improvement over the 45 minute makeup routine of the past.

I have recently started using NaturDerm's EpidermxII,Chrysalyx and Triple Lavender Face Foam. This is all that I use for night and morning(minus EII in morning). So far(about 3 weeks) I am really pleased with the results, although I've only had the cleanser for a week and not sure if it is working well for me(I have had a few break-outs).The other 2 products are excellent and do not bother my skin at all. They are actually quite soothing.I am currently searching for an excellent sunscreen that won't irritate and has a matte finish with high SPF and PPD.Once I have that, I'll be all set! |

Yonka Cleansing Creme
La Roche Posay Thermal Water
Kinerase Creme and/or Yonka Creme 11
C E Ferulic Acid by Skinceuticals
Anthelios SPF 50+ Extreme Fluid
IPL treatments mixed with Vitalize peels to get rid of congestion that might cause irritation. Peels will make you red for 2 days but after that: WOW! And believe me, I have sensitive skin with a big capital S!!! |
