i've also been using zb products for a while now, since before thanksgiving or so. my skin definitely feels better than before when i was using bp products, but i'm still getting clogged pores and small breakouts now and then. about a month ago i added in epidermx which i quite like, and i also just bought a clarisonic which i love. although i really wanted to love the zb products (especially since i still have a stash in my closet!), i'm not thrilled, and so i just placed an order with amy at naturderm for her lavender foam cleanser, chrysallix, and more e2 - i'm hoping that all three together might be a winning combo . . . plus, since these are all acid based (ph of normal skin), they'll be easier to mix with other product lines than zb (which is alkaline) . . . |

zumlya- I feel so dissapointed for you that ZB didn't work for you! I've totally been there when I've tried something and wanted it to work SO very badly (OCM comes to mind- my skin had never been worse after giving it an honest to goodness try)! I hope that you find success in another product or regime. It sounds like your skin really likes the ISC Active- that's good, right?
I agree w/ Liz that ZB may not be the total solution to clear up acne (but, I suppose as it goes that there are some individuals who do find success with combatting their acne with ZB.). I don't think ZB would be a sole solution for me like if I cut out my Tazorac gel and Aldactone (this one I may try cutting out as I don't want to be on it forever and I pray that when I do this my acne doesn't come back with a vengence!)
For me, the ZB has been WONDERFUL. My skin is extremely reactive and I have absolutely loved how ZB has calmed my skin and doesn't in anyway aggravate it. My skin especially loves all natural products... I have found that synthetics esp those derived from pertrochemicals are my skin's worst enemy. I inherited my grandfather's extra sensitive skin. He found out the hard way that he was extremely allergic to petroleum. He really sufferred from eczema and psoriasis for something like 25 years during which his job forced him to be around petroleum on a daily basis. After he retired, his skin calmed down unbelievably. His eczema was also exacerbated if he ever came into contact with raw shellfish. But the funny thing was was that he could eat it. (I'm the same way too).

Thanks for the bomb review. I won't be buying this one then. |
Keep in mind that some products can work well for one person but not so well for others as you are seeing with ZB. I would hate for you to miss out on a product that could turn out to really work well for you!

I also wanted to mention that Suki makes a Lemongrass cleanser which is almost like a scrub, and its amazing, maybe every 3 days. |
I picked up a couple of samples of this at Whole Foods once and when I used it I really liked it. It seemed to exfoliate well but didn't irritate my skin. It smells yummy too! IMO, Suki is a really good natural brand.

And a white willow toner, which has a natural form of BHA |
You may be referring to white willow bark which is a natural form of salicylic acid. (fyi...)
Anyway, zumlya, I wish you the best! |

Dear amnis, I am sorry. I guess I left this out of the positive note section of my original post. But, I do agree with you. It did calm my skin. My acne was in no way aggravated to form whiteheads, they just remained clogged pores. It was very, very nice not having whiteheads. But, the science (and the seller) of the products, really lead me to believe I was going to get 'cleared up'. And, I guess through my own ignorance* couldn't 'tough' it out. I don't consider my situation extreme rather mild plus I have one or two horrible cysts TTOTM. Maybe I should have kept using my retinol, I'm not sure. I never really thought about it. I guess I was depending on the 'experience' to work. It was so fast and easy. I loved it. It smell wonderful. But, these are all things you've heard before...
*ie. not remaining solely exclusive to the line (EII - watching wait time respectively), not being paitent - lasting a 31 days, sleeping on my side, not drinking enough water, not cleansing my colon, not eating enough veggies, not getting enough excersise
geez that's a long list I need to work on that... oh, yeah, I must add not getting enough sleep
I have, however, used the Phyto-Moist three times, incorporating it in a non-Zenbiotic routine. Because, frankly, I don't have a moisturizer I like better at the moment. (I have Burt's Bees, ISC Hydracool, Caudalie (haven't tried yet, don't really care to), Decleor (I think aggravated my acne, but I've been switching around with cleansers again so who knows...) and Murad .) I also want to reincorporate the O2 Replenish eventually, when I find the right routine for my skin.

Thanks, I really hate this part... which is why I'm disappointed. I have order some GOW. I'm about to take the OCM plunge! I know I will probably break out trying to find the right combination for my skin. I think I'm a fairly reasonable person, and can fight through the aggravations if I can unclog the pores on the sides of my nose and under my lip (above the chin).
I love packages, though!
amylola, I have looked at the Suki website, everything looks delicious even the website. Unfortunately, I have a Lip product * spam alert * too! I must limit myself on my purchases this month.
Thank you all for your care, and concern, and especially advice. |

I started using Zenbiotics around 4 months ago based off of recommendations from this website. I started with the foundation pack and have since re-ordered the products once. I have had issues with acne since I was a teen and after experiencing an extreme cystic breakout earlier this year, I’m currently dealing with the post scars and clogged pores.
I think a lot of us really want this system to work because of the way they present their products. It appeals to our logic and seems like a simple, innovative approach. While I did like their products (I did re-order), I’ve decided that I’m not really impressed overall. It is definitely a gentle program that will not irritate your skin. It did not make my skin any worse, but I don’t think it improved the condition of my skin any. I do like the Oxytoner and may still continue to incorporate this toner in my skincare routine. This line did get me hooked on using a lot of mists to apply my products. |

I also tried these products last summer, and while I liked them I did not re-order, am now since July using Dr. H, and it has been 3 months now and I could not be happier. Yes the products are pricey, but my skin is so regulated, so normal, not hardly any breakouts, no blackheads, just happy clear skin. I also use ifeelpretty BHA every other night along with Renova the other every other nights, and I have never been happier with my skin. As long as I dont pick, dont over do the exfoliation, I am good. I do use the Dr. H cleansing cream every am and pm as well. It has worked wonderfully for me, but I am 38, so maybe that has something to do with it. |
