Thanks ladies!
I'm looking for a liquid foundation (MMU tends to be a bit drying during winter months)... any recommendations? (I've tried Dr. H and the lightest shade is too dark for me... ) |
Dr. H is too dark for me too. I've never tried this myself, but I've heard that you can mix a little MMU powder into any moisturizer to make a good-for-your-skin tinted moisturizer. Has anyone here tried this? Also, recently I read over at MUA that one girl who uses Alima applies it wet with a damp sponge, so I've been experimenting with that recently just to see what the difference is. It seems that the coverage is more sheer, and you have to take more time blending (one reason I prefer to use it dry--- I love dusting it on and being out the door...), but it does seem to work a bit better for drier skin. I first dampen my sponge with Heritage Products rosewater and glycerin (it's like $3 or $4 at Whole Foods/Wild Oats) to give my skin a little more of a moisture boost. HOWEVER, be sure to tap some MMU on a plate or something before you do this--- never stick a damp sponge into your jar of MMU as this will contaminate it. HTH! |
