9. Gee, Office r! That's terrific. The last officer only gave me a warning, too!
10. Do you know why you pulled me over? Okay, just so one of us does.
11. I was trying to keep up with traffic. Yes, I know there are no other
cars around.. That's how far ahead of me they are.
12. When the Officer says "Gee Your eyes look red, have you been drinking?" You probably shouldn't respond with,"Gee Officer your eyes look glazed, have you been eating doughnuts?"
The reason I love this is I actually witnessed #8 & #10 used...still cringing at the look on the cop's face & the $$$ on the ticket!And no...it wasn't me! |

It's amazing how stupid we can be once we've been "pulled over".
Officer: "Ma'am, are you okay?"
Me (after waiting 15 minutes for him to come over): "Yeah, I'm okay."
Officer: "Are you sure? Can I help you?"
Me: "I thought you pulled me over after I passed that motorcyle at 85mph."  (Was I stupid or what?)"
Officer: "No, ma'am. We pulled the guy on the motorcyle over."
Me: "Oh, good. He scared the daylights out of me."
Officer: "He scared you?"
Me: "Yes. He wasn't wearing a helmet and had no headlights on (It was after midnight.) He was alll over the road. I lost him after I passed him and thought you had stopped me."
Officer: "No, ma'am. If you're okay you can go. Are you sure you're okay?"
Me: "Yes officer, and thank you."

I just got my license last May (never too late!). If a cop ever pulled me over I'd be too busy throwing up from fear to say anything!  |

| You don't know the half of it!! They're nasty here with quotas & everything..they stay in their cruisers for half an hour just to make you sweat before giving you a ticket..they hide behind snowbanks along service roads..you for 55 in a 50 km zone & they pounce...then you lose points on your license..then your husband wants to wring your neck (something about insurance). If you follow speed limit, the tailgaiters honk & get ya all nervous...but the simple joy of seeing'em pass you & then they get stopped by a cop-priceless. |

Marina - I LOVE those! I recently got pulled over for speeding and I was so pissed off that I didn't say A SINGLE WORD to the cop. I should have asked if he really had to give me the ticket and if I could go with a warning - sometimes that works.

In these parts, the city and county police have NO time to bother with traffic stops. HOWEVER, the state police seem to have plenty of time!
I have a tendency to drive over the speed limit AND you have to keep in mind that I learned how to drive in NYC. But, I know where most of the speed traps are on the interstate and I rarely get stopped. When I do, I'm almost always able to sweet talk my way out of an actual citation (and, if I have to, I'm NOT above grovelling, pleading, and weeping ). The ONLY time it's a problem is when the trooper is a female. They're not anywhere near as sweet as Officer Candy . Nope, when the trooper is a chica it usually means  |
