i know vaseline is an excellent moisturizer, and i use it over my legs.
But i doubt if it's suitable for the area around our eyes. Skin there is more delicate == it's so much thinner, and products to be used around the eye area should be a lot less thick than face / other products.
That y i dare not put vaseline around my eyes |

I'd never put straight-up vaseline around my eyes....I have a girlfriend who does it and while she is pretty much lineless she is plagued by quite significant bags....I think that the bags are far more aging than actual lining around the eyes (not that I love my lines). Anyways, no vaseline for this gal.

Vaseline is not a moisturizer it's more in the line of a great sealant. That means your skin should have some moisture in it before applying.
One trick my mother taught me. Warm it a bit before applying. this helps it not to "drag" on the skin when applying. Mom would "warm" it by rubbing it between her fingers for a minute or putting it in a metal lid and holding a match under it for about 15 seconds. It's all she ever used on her face.
Mom didn't have any lines until she was in her 80's. |
