From Lifescript.com, they tested the following 5 top bronzers:

1. Neutrogena Micromist Tanning Sunless Spray
2. Jergen’s Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer
3. Hawaiian Tropic Island Glow Daily Moisturizer
4. L’Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Gelee
5. Clinique Body Quick Bronze Tinted Self-Tanner

Read the article, and let me know if you agree with their reviews if you have also tried the product(s) before. I have not tried any of these.

if you really want a good rundown, go to tangal's spot, I think it's sunless.com? It has great reviews and suggestions.

I have used the jergens, it's ok -- certainly easy. But can get a little yellow if you get overzealous.

My favorite is Glow Fusion or Scott Barnes.

At Sunless.com the board I moderate at, our posters do not agree with those reviews. Not that the products are bad, but all of them have those who hate them, and they are not "the best" at all. Wink

Also a hint - Reviews of that type are almost always paid product placement advertising, not true reviews. So take it with a grain of salt.

Essentually a Magazine or reviewer approaches a small list of companys, and offers them a chance to be in the "Review" the sunless company pays a price to be incluided, and in many cases with Magazines and websites, they also buy advertsing in relation to all that. And the more you pay, the better chance you have of rating higher.

And they do not review all products on the market, but rather only the handful that choose to pay the premium prices for that "placement" So its a very "closed" group of products tested.

Sunless.com also has reviews from our posters, both in the Reviews section on the main page and from searching the messageboard. Since that website has no sponsers paying for the site, its hosting or ads. All reviews are completely unbiased. Smile (the site is 100% volunteer run, no payment received or generated by the site, except for a very tiny amount from the banner click through ads at page bottoms - which are less then $2000 a year total in revenue and still below website upkeep costs. We are in the Red every year)

You can read reviews from many people, all of different skintypes and issues, which gives you a more complete overall picture.

And yes many find Jergens gets yellow easy, other feel the smell is quite bad, though they have reformulated this year to address the odor issue.
