Hi, I'm new to this forum. I've been reading posts for about two months, and decided to join. Everyone seem so friendly and helpful.
I need some help picking some new skin care products.I have very dry skin with rosacea.I was using Estee Lauder's Verite with poor reesults.I had lots of breakouts.I ordered The Thalgo cleanser and toner.Couldn't use the toner,it made my face red.The cleanser might work. What about Sothys skincare? Or Dermalogica?I'm in my late fifties, and still have problems. Thanks. |

Hi Annie!Welcome!!
My DH has rosacea too and uses prescription Metrogel (metronidazole)topical. It comes in cream formula for those of us w/dry skin too. You really have to get it under control with this, he found.
Have you been reading the posts about BabyQ by AdvanceTherapeutics? It's reported to help w/rosacea, but I can't get DH to sit still for beauty treatments. I use it for anti-aging and find it helps whatever products I use to be absorbed better. Supposed to stimulate collagen production. Just some suggestions! HTH and welcome! fawnie |

Two lines I know of that work really well for skin with rosacea are Primavera and Lavera. They are both organic lines so you don't have to worry about harsh chemicals, synthetics and preservatives which can irritate your condition and make it worse.

annie313, welcome. I am relatively new too. Joined a little bit more than a month ago.
My skin also gets dry and sensitive from time to time, and is easily irritated. I mainly use darphin, la mer and sisley products myself. But I read good reviews about decleor and dr hauschka for skin type like yours. If you order things here at EDS, you can ask for samples of things you wanna try. |

Hi Annie, Welcome!!!!
Depending upon how severe your rosacea is, you may want to see a dermatologist for an RX. I understand the Pevonia is a good line. You can call EDS's toll free number for pricing. Also you may want to try using the "Search" function at the top of the page as there are many posts from people who have rosacea. Good luck!! |

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I already use metrocream, and have seen four derms. The last one said it was rosacea.I've never heard of some of those brands.I would like to try sisley, though.I live in an area with only mall skincare,no high end. Thanks goodness for the internet.I'll look at the other suggestions too. Thanks to everyone for your help. |

From one Annie to another-Welcome. The only thing that really helped my rosacea, (tried the metrogel, antibiotic, prednisone route), was IPL's, the Baby Q and Is Clinical Proheal. I also tried the rosacea lines of LaRoche Posey and others and it just made my skin more irritated. Decleor Gentle Harmonie Soothing Cream is a good cream to calm and soothe your face. My hubby has horrible rosacea, runs in the family, and the IPL's are a must. |

Hi Annie, I would really love IPL, but the derms here still are not doing it yet. But,hopefully in the near future they will. All the derms I've been to suggest very harsh products for your face. I wish in medical school they had a course on skincare I've used some Decleor products, some with success others not.I've also used some pervonia products.I was not impressed. |
