Cherisse, neither can I.

I know it does not help much, but may make you feel that you are not alone in that boat.

All the best,
Lucy.

Thank you, Sigma! That is really sweet of you. I don't feel too lonely now.

Wow, I guess we have all neglected to pamper ourselves since we don't have too many replies. LOL

Maybe I should start a thread...."How do you wish to be pampered?"

I always try to pamper myself at least once every few weeks any way I can. I think it's important to make ourselves feel special. It can be as simple as savouring a piece of chocolate or better yet fudge, or running a nice hot bubble bath for myself with candles and wine, or giving myself an at home facial. Pampering doesn't have to be elaborate and expensive; it just has to make us feel important so that we realize it's ok to put ourselves first every now and then.

You're absolutely right. I think women are such givers, and we so very often put our kids and S.O. first, and totally ignore our own needs. I for one need to TRY harder to do more pampering for myself. Hard to do when you're not used to doing it though.

I try to pamper myself every chance I get. For me pampering is a good book, great movie, dinner out, or a new goodie from EDS Wink

I just went for a facial a week ago? That counts as pampering I guess haha. Haven't had a facial in like a year due to all the school work load Sad Next up - massage and spa when I graduate in another 3 months time Smile

I think pampering is just what you would consider pampering. So the actual definition would be HOW you would define it. What would make YOU feel pampered? Very Happy

To me, I define it as going to get a massage or get a manicure/pedicure or get a facial.

But as Wildflower and Rufus pointed out, it doesn't have to be elaborate. Sitting in a candle-lit bathroom taking a nice hot bath filled with scented oil could be pampering, too. Or reading a good book. I think it's something you do just for yourself and no one else and it feels relaxing to you.

I've only been to a spa once b/c I got a GC for a massage. I have never had a facial done. I've done the manicure/pedicure thing only in Thailand since it's so cheap ($2 for the whole thing). So I guess I've been neglecting to pamper myself a lot. Maybe I just need to expand my def'n of pampering. I can relax in a hot bath in my jacuzzi and read a book. Hmm...interesting.

lol, hot bath in your jacuzzi and a book isnt much of a pampering session! i always thought pampering was: go in looking ugly, come out looking beuatiful, with radiant, healthy, smooth skin!!! Laughing
$2!!!! wow, i keep saying im gonna visit thailand, if only i was in asia for longer...

I just got myself a manicure....picked a bright red colour that I had never thought I would wear. Pamper myself...to change my mood I suppose.

I've been pampering myself the past 2 days after a week of not a very comfortable traveling. As soon as I got back home I headed out to a spa for a nice relaxing massage. Then last night I did a coffee scrub before putting on an Osea White Algae Mask and having a nice warm bath while sipping on my white wine, listening to some Nina Simone Smile Also having my boyfriend topping up my wine glass for me was a big plus Smile Laughing

Sounds like you deserved it after what he said to you. Good job, girl. When I was in Thailand, I loved getting a massage, and paying only $4 an hour was not bad either. lol
