| I was wondering what peoples favorite eye make-up remover is. So many of them are so irritating on my eyes. |

| I like just plain grapeseed or jojoba oil. If I do use an actual eye makeup remover, I usually choose something really gentle, like Earth Science Eye Makeup Remover with Chamomile. |

my tried and true eye make up remover is chanel bi-phase.
when you look at the bottle, there half the liquid is blue, and half clear. you shake it up, then squeeze onto a cotton ball.
i then place it over my eye, massage for a few seconds, then wipe away. most make up (even very heavy) is gone with the first wipe.
it is an oil based product, but very gentle and soothing. i have tried many others, which have all irritated my eyes, except this one.
it was recommended to me by my cousin, otherwise it is not something i would ever try. i normally use jurlique, decleor, and of recent times aesop. i'm glad i tried it though, because it has been a staple for many years now. |

I think my grapeseed oil came from Trader Joe's, but I can usually get jojoba from any natural foods store or drug store. |

I second the grapeseed & jojoba oil recommendations!
Castor oil and/or olive oil work very well too. |

Washing my makeup with oils make my eyes go cloudy. |

Lisey,
That's what i worry about using oil to remove makeup too. I really like Lancome's makeup remover but I just think its a bit pricey...sigh |

I like clinique's "take the day off" eye makeup remover. I know a lot of people don't like clinique (i don't really use any of their other products) but this one is pretty good.

It hasn't been a problem for me, even though my eyes are annoyingly sensitive. I should mention that I'm careful not to get any oil actually in my eyes, and I remove any excess with a cotton pad. I usually finish with Dr. Hauschka cleansing milk, which removes any lingering greasiness. |

I also like to use jojoba and grapeseed oils. You can get them at the health food store.
I rub a small amount into the palm of my hand and mix it with a little water - to make it thinner. Then I rub on my lashes gently. I then use a cotton round (thin pad, not a cotton ball) by wetting it and wringing it out. So when I use it to wipe off the oil, it is much more gentle and pulls a lot less.
I also follow up with the Hauschka Cleansing Milk. I love that stuff. If I've used Hauschka mascara for the day, it's all I need to remove it. If I've used another mascara or have on a lot of eye makeup then I use the oil first. But the Hauschka milk is so gentle and doesn't burn the eyes at all. So I massage it gently onto my eyes and whole face and it is so relaxing.

I've recently been using Decleor's Eye Make-up Remover Lotion (Lotion Démaquillante Pour les Yeux)--a tiny amount of the lotion on a cotton pad works without any tugging or rubbing. It has a very faint but pleasant scent and is suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Polysorbate 20, Sodium Lauroyl Oat Amino Acids, Propylene Glycol, Camellia Sinesis Leaf Extract, Anthemis Noblis Flower Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Rose Extract (Rosa Centifolia), Mellotus Officinalis Extract, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Extract, Sodium Citrate, Amyl Cinnamal, Citronellol, Geraniol, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben. |

| I've used baby oil for years with no problems. I follow it with a gentle cleanser. I also like Lancome remover. |

My method for eye makeup remover is basically just part of the Oil Cleansing Method (tons of details available on other threads) so I use a towel soaked in warm water to thoroughly (but gently) wipe the oil off.
Being very thorough with removing the oil & makeup is what prevents my eyes from going cloudy. |
