Help........I had my eyebrows waxed on saturday. I always go to the same place, she hasnt changed anything. I have it done every 8 to 9 weeks. BUT My eye brows and eye lids are red itchy sore and very swollen, I look like I've been punched in both eyes, its horrible. I've been putting cold compresses on them and wearing sunglasses for work (even though its raining) One of my friends told me I look like i'm on drugs!, that was after she finished laughing! |

Oh no! Eyebrows AND eyelids too? I have had eyebrow waxes where the skin that got waxed went really red and itchy and then started to peel but not my eyelids though. That only happens to me when they go over the same area too many times. I was going to suggest that it might be a reaction to the wax but if they haven't changed anything then it shouldn't be! Have you started using any new skincare by any chance? Particularly something with RetinA?
I'd persist with the cold compresses and try aloevera gel, Decleor Harmonie Essentiel or pop some vit E oil on it maybe? If it persists then see a doctor. It's been a few days already, you'd expect it to calm itself down by now.

I know how you must be feeling Gucci because My left eyelid's upper most portion was kinda burned almost a year ago. I didn't know it till the next day when that part was a bit hard and black/red.
I was so mad b/c i had to attend a family weeding that week.
I rubbed an ice cube in the moring and night followed by my use to be moisturizer, oil of olay sensitive skin cream. 3 days later, my skin started to peel off and no scars at all . Kept using the cream till my redness was completely gone.
So than I made that my last vist for eyebrow waxing. Now i get it threaded which is done at indian salon. A bit stinging but the archs are perfect.
I suggest you try using senstive cream at the moment like Mabsy suggests. |
