| After using up the 'bits and bobs' I've got at the moment I'd really like to try out the Decleor range. I have oily skin, prone to breakouts and blackheads. Any suggestions re: which cleanser or face wash would be the best? There are creams, milks, oils, gels etc etc. I think I'd prefer a wash off option so maybe the gel? Any ideas? Also does anyone have any other good suggestions from this brand for my skin type? TIA! |

I like Decleor but don't have enough experience to give you suggestions. Getting samples might help you decide. If you are near a Sephora, they usually have Decleor samples as well. And www.BeautyHabit.com has a sample program where you pay a small amount to request particular samples and they carry Decleor: http://www.beautyhabit.com/bhsample.html#1319. I've used this program - customer service was great.
Also I'm sure some other Forum members will have suggestions for you. |

I'd go with the Decleor:
Cleansing Gel then the Matifying lotion (toner)
Decleor Aromessence Visage Ylang Ylang (oil) and in the pm Decleor Aromessence Ylang Ylang Night Balm. |

| I agree with Rufus, although I wouldn't bother with the matifying lotion I've never seen the point of them. A nice moisturiser is the Hydra Floral one, it's more for all skin types but it's fine for oily skin, nice and rich and sinks in well. |

| Thanks everyone for your replies. I'm not sure that I'd be able to access those samples as I'm in the UK. Does anyone know any UK sites that sell/send out Decelor samples? Would it be an option to use the hydra floral cream at night and a lighter moisturiser in the morning? Am I right in thinking you only use the balms for two weeks at a time? So two weeks balm at night and two weeks HF at night? I was watching QVC UK yesterday and they had a trial kit for just under £24 with a mixture of body and facial products, they were saying neroli oil and balm essential good for all skin types? Or is ylang ylang best for my oily skin? I'm confused! |

Hi Rachael
EDS give out Decleor samples (with a purchase if you request them and they have them) and also if you go to any Decleor concession and say you would like to try the range, they will usually give you advise and free samples.... if you're lucky. |

You can use the hydra floral day and night. If your skin is very oily maybe use a lighter one instead, the matt finish skin fluid is a thinner cream.
Also you can use the oil and balm as long as you like, the ylang ylang is more for oily skin, the neroli is for normal skin types.
As there's a lot to chose from, try the samples first. |

| PS to answer your question about QVCUK, that might be a good kit to try because at least if it doesn't work for you you can send it back within 30 days and get your money back. |

As you will see from some of my recent posts, I am a Decleor fanatic. A recent convert - and all thanks to EDS.
I took the plunge and bought one product - the essential balm. I fell in love, and have since bought a truckload more.
All I can suggest is to try one product (I went for an "active" product rather than a cleanser to judge whether decleor was for me). With EDS they will provide samples if they have them. I received quite a few samples with my first order and tried out the range.
I have since bought the iris oil, the nutri delice, the triple action rich cream, deep cleanser, regulating purifying mask, whitening balm.
I want to buy so much more (but my credit card has gone into cardiac arrest).
I have dry /dehydrated skin - but am also prone to congestion - I am in my early 30s so aging and wrinkles is my main concern. |

Beauty Habit does sell internationally, but you'll have to call them for a price quote on the sample pack:

| I hve been thinking about trying the Decleor ylang-yland oil and night balm, so on my last EDS order, I asked for samples. I guess they didn't have any but they did send me the Decleor rose night balm and the Decleor Iris oil, both of which I liked the texture, but I didn't like the strong frangrance of either. Is the ylang-ylang a more subtle smell then the samples I received or is it just as strong? |

Probably just as strong, but I like the scent of Decleor items. |

Hi Rachael, you could also try the Foaming Cleanser if you prefer to wash off.It is suitable for all skin types. Quite reasonably priced from EDS and a huge tube.
Also the Aroma Purete range is for Combination/Oily skin.
I don't know if EDS have them, but I have a Decleor Product Directory which lists all there products and how to use them. If all else fails try the Decleor.co.uk website. |

| My experience with Decleor is that since they are based on essential oils, they have a strong fragrance. I happen to like the fragrance and the healing properties of the oils. I just got their lip balm - having a strong essential oil fragrance / taste took a little getting used to. But within 2 applications, I am already loving it and it stays on quite a bit of time. |

Thank you all for your replies. I soooooo want to try Decleor but my finances don't allow at the moment (also have lots of Jurlique to use up)! I have found a salon near my home that has started using Decleor and have made an appointment for a consultation and will be able to get some free samples! I think I'll try the balm/oil first as they are active products (as someone said earlier) and I can add them into my current regime. Thanks again |

I think we have similar skin type. I have the Decleor Aromessence Visage Ylang Ylang, the matifying moisturizer, the clay mask, the Decleor Aromessence Ylang Ylang Night Balm, and the Aromessence Essential Balm.
Among these products, I don't like the matifying moisturizer and the clay mask, they are just very standard. I love the Ylang Ylang oil which helps control the blemishes. As for the balms, I only start to use them so I can't really comment, but I think the Ylang Ylang is better for oily skin. |

| Rachael, you are absolutely right. If there's any Decleor product that you have to start with, I would recommend the oil (for mornings) and the balm (for nights). These can be used with any other product lines. If you can, I would suggest you try both the ylang ylang and neroli range/sample to ascertain which suits your skin the most. I have a combination skin type however I prefer the neroli oil and essential balm more than the ylang ylang. During the seasons of the year, different products suit your skin more. |

| I recently tried the Essential Balm and had a breakout of pimples all over my face, which was unusual for me. If I get an acne breakout, it's usually over my chin. Persisted for about 5 nights before I finally gave up, as more and more pimples started appearing. |

| For application of both the oil and balm, I recommend spraying your face 1st with Avene thermal water or another water, and then applying a small amount of oil or balm. The mist of water helps spread the product more easily. |

I am usually prone to break out but thankfully after 2 weeks of decleor use I have had no break outs. In fact, in the mornings, my skin has never looked better.
By the end of the day though, my skin starts looking tired and ruddy again. I am not sure why this is? Any suggestions? |

I received some generous samples of Decleor from EDS. I have combination/sensitive skin and I am 58 years old. I like the Ylang Ylang and the Neroli oils. I also enjoyed the Alpha Morning SPF 12 Cream and the Sun de Soir - Night Repairing Cream. I love the texture and aroma of both of these creams. My skin is very soft and radiant the next morning after using the night cream. I am trying to decide which products I want to purchase first.
I am interested in the Aromessence Rose D Orient. Does anyone have experience with this product?

Oh i saw the qvcuk kit with the neroli oil and essential balm i was very tempted to order it but instead i went on ebay and have bought a kit on their which contains the neroli oil, essential balm, hydra floral cream, foaming cleanser and the hydrating mist.
Oh it also contained a hydra floral eye gel.
which only cost me 16 quid.
I can't wait for it to turn up and start using it. I think my skin is going to be bad in the next couple of days as i am going into hospital tomorrow for an operation. My skin has been quite bad recently as i am constantly on medication. I look like i have the skin of someone about 60 years old and i'm 19. My eyes are all wrinkled and my whole face looks dull and old. The wrinkles are not age wrinkles but more dehydration wrinkles. The problem is i can't use a heavier moisturiser as it clogs up my skin and gives me spots.
I have used a sample of the neroli in the past and really liked it but never purchased the full size so i am going to try ity again and then if i really like it i will buy the full size. |
