I saw a programme a couple of weeks ago where women were testing anti cellulite creams and the ones that performed well according to them are the new Nivea Goodbye Cellulite Cream and the Murad system which is a combination of supplements and a toning serum I think. I personally haven't found any cream that noticeably reduces cellulite, but body brushing seems to have helped a bit.

I have used Decleor's slimming products and currently toning products. I like them. I do find skin is more smooth and moisturised but it has not made them disappear.

I just bought the Nivea Goodbye-Cellulite gel and will report back! 2 of 3 reviews on MUA saw immediate results so I just HAD to try it out. Rolling Eyes Laughing

I have been using Weleda's Birch Cellulite Oil for about a month now. I think that it is working. It might be a little too soon to tell. However, I was shopping recently and in the brightly lit fitting room my cellulite did appear lessened. Of course I will know more after using it longer.

Has anyone else used this product? What kind of results did you have?

Yes, I found it quite effective - not spectacularly so, but it did help a little.

I tried that also, had the same result as you, smoother skin but cellulite didn't disappear.

Looking forward to hearing what you think about the Nivea. I was debating whether to try it myself. Hope it lives up to the reviews!

Hmm weird...I don't know what some of that stuff is but alcohol, silicones & glycerin don't sound like they'd help cellulite very much. I just wish cellulite didn't exist - it is SUCH an unneeded evil.

The two actives in there, both of which are purported to be effective in reducing cellulite are the carnitine and the chondrus crispus (red algae).

I make my own anti-cellulite gel which Sandy uses and I use to tighten up for competitions. Unfortunately, I use samples of ingredients that are too costly to ever see the light of day in a commercial product...but they sure do work! These include:

Ruscogenins: a botanical seaweed type of product that sells for over $1,000 per kilogram
from the Indena company in Spain.

Lanachrys: a plant derived alpha-2 blocker from the Atrium company...$$$!

and two ingredients commonly found in anti-cellulite formulas:

Caffeine

Aminophylline: An anti-asthma medication that accelerates the blood flow and thus the metabolism at the spot of application.

and one ingredient that I like:

Benzyl Nicotinate: Accelerates the blood flow and thus the metabolism at the spot of application.

Once we put this stuff on (and Sandy also wraps in a rubber sweat belt), the sweat just pours off of us like a fountain. There is no doubt that something is DEFINITELY working when we use it.

John

Well, unfortunately I have not been wowed, but it's only been a few days now. I definitely did not see an instant results like the other two on MUA. Target didn't have the patches, only the gel. I'm curious to know how the patches work since they're supposed to be more intense. I will post back if I have any significant changes. Pray

I hope you see some results Smile Btw - Nivea now also carry anti-cellulite capsules? hmm
I wonder if what's in them is any good.

Interesting!

I have a competition of sorts coming up--might you be persuaded to share the formula? I'd love to purchase some, if you ever offered it commercially!

I have tried a few products over the past few years, and none have really worked!!! The "Shopping Bags", a consumer show here in Canada, just did a review on Cellulite creams (several women tested different treatments for the recommended period of time), and they ALL struck out too...they did not recommend any of them, one of which was the Nivea, which has been mentioned often in this forum. Sorry for the discouraging words!

How could a topical cream get rid of cellulite? It's just fat that pokes through connective tissue.

Heathercolorado, are you getting ready for a bodybuilding show? I am going to "house of fitness" my favorite supplements store here in Mesa to pick up two bottles of Liquid Lecithin which is the base I use for my topical fat burner formula. Send me a good shipping address to moparmag@msn.com and I'll send an amount up to you to try for free. I don't want to charge you anything becuase I want your honest feedback/opinion on how it worked for you (and it will work). Your opinion as a competitive fitness person is what I really want since that would be the market I would aim to please.

Before everyone else asks for some, I have to say that the ingredients are way too expensive for me to start mass production. So please don't ask (until I hit the lottery or something).

Katee, the ingredients that I use: ruscogenins, and lanychrys DO have peer reviewed, journal published data that proves in real life testing on women with cellulite that it does work. It is published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science put out by the Society of Cosmetic Chemists. The formulas that ABC reviewed do NOT have these ingredients and will fail to perform just as they found out.

John
