Hi I was wondering how people cope with the big birthdays. For about 6 months before my 40th I was really depressed and panicking. I don't know what I thought would happen. But after my birthday it was like a big cloud had lifted and I was fine. The only thing I did was get my belly button pierced. Quite a big thing for me cos I am really squeamish.
My mate wasn't worried at all before her 40th but just after she entered into a totally out of character affair and had her boobs enlarged.
Another friend who had never ridden a bike before took her test and now rides a 500cc bike everywhere. Any one else do something off the wall. Wink

My daughter (19) is always on at me to get belly button pierced and I am 41. Think I need to tone up a bit first though, it will only get lost otherwise! As for boobs, would love an "uplift" but far too squeamish, so will stick to my wonderbras instead.

I have a 3 0 coming in August and I don't want to think about it, I know I don't look it but it really sounds like an older duffer (sorry for those who are older if you're fine about it). It's not something I'm going to celebrate, I might just treat myself to something special from EDS to cheer me up! Very Happy

I would love my boobs donebut I don't like pain. However my mates look fantastic and one day if I have the money I might. I would also like my face done ahhh well. The only way would be if extreme makeover got hold of me.Then I would feel obliged regardless of pain.
30 is just a baby, that didn't worry me. Not like 40.

I think if I knew that everything would be ok, and that nothing would go wrong, I might consider it. Seeing all the horror stories is what puts me off, but if you know someone thats had it done and it looks good, it must be so tempting!

I would love a brest reduction but am scared silly of the risks...knowing my luck I'd end up with one bigger than the other!!! I'm sure if I chopped them off i'd lose a stone in weight...in fact I think I'll weigh them tonight!!! Laughing

I've got 2 years until i'm 40, but age doesnt really bother me at all, its something I just dont think about...I know I don't act my age at all!

well I'm looking forward to 40 as I graduate the day before my 40th, so you can imagine the party I'm gonna have Very Happy
As to getting older, I'm glad. My youth was one long miserable $h*t load and as I gett further away from it life smells so much sweeter! The only thing I don't like about getting older is the creeping appearence of chicken skin here and there, but with guapaboys failing sight and my beer goggles, I think I just about pass muster rofl
