Has anyone tried this line? It's gotten a lot of press lately, and is apparently super popular with the celebs. I really want try the quench serum and the Deep Tissue Repair moisturizer. I hope EDS starts carrying this line. I don't think you can get it anywhere in Vancouver.

I don't think there is a lot of fans for this line with EDS members.

I agree that there has been some promotions going on with this line. I love their web-site and would love to give it a try.

Yes, you are right. I find it difficult for them to deliver up North. Too bad they can't make it easier for us because I think they would get more business.

Will you keep in touch with me if you know of any changes?

I just called Kate Sumerville. They had no problems delivering it to Canada but did not suggest that we have it delivered to Canada because of the shipping charges, customs, etc.

She said it would be better to place your order and have it shipped to someone in the US so that they could forward it to you.

I found the highlights or should I say the index of that issue on the net. Too bad you can't read the article. It may be too late to buy the issue because in my area, they normally take it off the stand every Wednesday.

Check your local library if you have one. Ours keeps all the magazines for quite some time.

You can read reviews on makeupalley.

I tried this about 2 years ago and wasn't too impressed.

Quench was supposed to be "it" but it seems very much like Skinceuticals B5.

I did like the enzyme mask but everything else seemed so-so. But note that the formula has changed last year.

I found the article! And here it is.

AN A-LIST BEAUTY GURU
When celebs like Jessica Alba and Molly Sims have bad skin days, Kate Somerville has the cure

Kate Somerville's beauty training was anything but pretty. In the 15 years she worked in plastic surgeons' offices as a medical skin-care specialist, Somerville cared for patients with controlled facial burns from cosmetic laser surgery. "Their skin would be oozing and scabbing," she recalls, "and I had to figure out the best way to heal it."

Today the skin woes she tackles for celebrity clients ("My waiting room looks like a paparazzi's field day!" she jokes) like Paris Hilton, Katherine Heigl and Mariska Hargitay tend more toward acne and sagging skin, but her philosophy remains the same. "I'm not about stripping and harming the skin," says Somerville, 36, who, for example, prefers natural enzymes to harsh ingredients like glycolic acid in her products (which she began selling on QVC in February, when the line sold out in six minutes). I'm about nourishing the skin."

For all her success (her West Hollywood clinic is a $3 million annual business), Somerville-who has a son, Chae, 5, with husband Landa, a musician-still struggles with her own complexion. "I've had hives, eczema," she sighs. "All my emotions come out in my skin!"

Jessica Alba, 25
THE PROBLEM: [i]Her lower cheek keeps breaking out.
THE SOLUTION: Because the area flares up due to stress and heavy makeup. Somerville both treats and strengthens it with light therapy.
Kerry Washington, 30
THE PROBLEM: Uneven pigmentation. "Her skin is darker, so every time she gets a blemish she gets a brown spot." THE SOLUTION: Vitamin C product to lighten irregularities.

Felicity Huffman, 44
THE PROBLEM: "Her texture is gorgeous, but she's losing elasticity," Somerville says. THE SOLUTION: Infrared laser therapy and her Deep Tissue Repair cream to stimulate collagen production.

The article is short and more then half the page is photo's. Now I am interested what light treatment is like and laser therapy. I wonder if they are painful. Confused

Kate in a Jar. I have seen the brand in the forum quite often. Something new to me. I would read more from the information ladies offer here.
