Saw the new gel eyeliner on QVCUK today and wondered if anyone's tried it? Judging by a prevoius post the best gel liners seem to be BB and MAC. I think this one was selling for about £13. I don't normally use Prescriptives but bought a kit today containing illuminating cream potion (full size), intensive rebuilding moisturiser (30ml), superline preventor (15ml), moonbeam lipgloss (3ml) and beyond long mascara (2.5ml) all in a Prescriptives amke up bag and all for £24.95! As it was founders day even the p&p was free. Has anyone used any of these products? Any opinions? |

I've been buying Prescriptives foundation makeup for years. In my view, their colour-match system and the quality of their foundations/powders is the best on the market. I have also bought their lip and eye colours and mascara (though I prefer Aveda mascara now). While I buy their makeup, I'm not keen on their skin "care" products. I prefer buying products recommended by skin care specialists/estheticians, not department store sales people. |

I used to use their mascara called False Lashes. If I recall, I really liked it. I might have to check it out again. But, I don't use any of the their skin care or make-up. |

I do not use any of their products - I tried the foundation and some eye makeup. My skin did not like them at all, so everything went back to the store.

I love their lipsticks, but couldn't wear the foundation. I've not tried the gel liner. |

I tried both their Flawless Skin liquid and custom blend liquid foundations, but both gave me clogged pores and broke me out. Back when i've yet to discover EDS, i was using their intensive rebuilding eye cream, and in hindsight it did nothing for me. Their makeup colors are pretty but there are better makeup brands out there IMO. |

I love their foundations be it loose powder, liquid foundation or concealors! Their texture is fab, extremely soft and light and it's never given me any problems for my combi-dry-oily skin Their eyeshadows/blushers aren't bad too but in terms of selections in color not as comprehensive as say Chanel. |

Keeping in mind that I have acne prone skin:
I think that Px's color matching is excellent, especially if you can go to a counter that custom blends powders/fdtns/concealer.
With that said, though, EVERY TIME I wear their face products I break out or get clogged pores - total bummer. I really like their concealer with SPF but I need to be very careful to avoid blocked pores.
I like their lip glosses and lip pencils. Not crazy for their eye pencils (don't stay on long enough on my oily lids).
Never used their skincare. |

I couldn't use their foundations. I wanted too but the talc clogged my pores. I have used their talc-free powder though. I liked it I had no complaints. |

I LOVE their Super Flight Cream. It's pricey at £25 but unbeatable for if you have had a late night and your skin is dehydrated.
I'm normal to combo but find if I put this on my skin looks as if I've drunk 3 litres of water and had 12 hours sleep - amazing stuff.
Smells nice too! |

That's the one I buy. I love it! It looks like you're wearing no makeup at all, and blends so well into the skin you have there are no tell tale demarcation lines. |

Their brushes suck. I have 2 and have to pick black brush hairs from my face after using them. Thumbs down! |

That does suck. I've had a complete set of their brushes for about 6 years and I love them. I've only had to replace two during that time and that's because I wore them out.
I used to be a counter manager for Prescriptives. I love the Magic Powder and the color matching system. Knowing my tones has really helped me select the right MMU.
I never cared for the skin care and the Magic Powder and brushes are all I still use.

I bought that kit as well. I also bought the 6 piece kit the one which was 35 pounds, it was all great value and brilliant that you got free postage and packaging as well so i ended up saving about 8 quid there.
Can't wait for it to arrive. I have heard so much about prescriptives in magazines but have never had the chance to try them. |

I love love love their powder! so much so that I stocked up on LP and PP when I went to states last year... it's sad that they pulled out of the asia region, I would love to be able to get my hands on all the items easily... Haven't tried their gel liner so I'm not very sure but lipsticks wise, I love the texture, very satiny and not drying. I've heard good reviews about their LF as well but sadly am not able to try it. |

Love the range of foundation colours, much better than any other brand. Never found a concealer colour, but now they do customised ones,I got done one at Harrods when it first came out and it's a perfect colour match. Great texture too. |

Well it turned up and to be honest i wasn't that impressed.
The magic powder is useless, i can't seem to pick any up on a brush no matter how hard i press, then when i manage to get any on my face it just seems to highlight my pores.
The False lash mascara is probably the most natural looking madcara i have ever used it seemed to make my lashes look shorter and i have naturally long lashes.
The lipgloss is way too dark for me, i was going to give it to my sister for her birthday but i will be sending the kit back so can't.
The blush is ok i like the texture but the colour doesn't look natural on my.
The only product i liked from the kit was the cream eyeshadow but even that i am not quite sure about the colour.

Rachael, good job you said as I was tempted by that kit. Why are you disappointed with it? |

I keep meaning to try the foundation after it was voted the best in a trial a year or so back, it got 10/10 by the testers.
But I'm a bit dubious about trying new foundation now especially as they have so many so you would have to have a make over in order to find your shade.
I tried a new foundation a while back, I was fully made up at the time and told the SA I didn't want to take off all my makeup, she said she could test a little bit on my jawline to match the colour. Out came a makeup remover swab and she swabbed half my face and my neck to remove my make-up in order to match the colour! I was mortified! I didn't have my foundation with me to put back on again and I was going somewhere else afterwards. She tried to match a colour, which seemed to be similar to the one I had on so phew, I didn't look like an idiot..... that was until I got outside in the daylight! There I was with two tone makeup and I swear everyone was staring at me! Soooo that experience has kinda put me off new foundations. Gasp! |
