All I can tell you is don't do it. I did it, and my hair is so damaged. I'm still growing it out. It's very drying and makes my hair brittle breaking off easily. However if you really want to try it once, then go for it. Maybe you will have a different experience. Oh one more thing I didn't like about it is how plastered it made my hair look. It was flat and lifeless, just hanging there. It was not a flattering look for me.

I would suggest that you go to a skillful japanesse hair dresser. I had it done a few times and a good hair stylist does make a lot of difference Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation

1st time I did it with my family hair dresser, 2nd time the hair dresser was not as skillful.
The 1st time I did it, it complimented my face but the 2nd time it was just dead flat straight no style what so ever. The 1st time my hair dresser did use a hair straightener to iron my hair and made the tip curved inside before setting it with the cream.

As with for hair perm it's going to damage your hair so you do need to follow up with hair treatments. And you can't wash your hair right away, u have to leave it for 2-3days otherwise your hair will go fuzzy and it will look like rough hay Exclamation

Hey,
Thanks for your reply i completely agree with you. As with me also its not first time i m getting permanent straighting done. I had it done 4 times b4 and had different results from diff stylist like you. I recently moved to California and dont know any good hair dressser and want to go to recommended one only.
last time i used Schwartzkopf product and it was good but want to know any better.

Hi, I'll suggest you go for Shiseido or Goldwell straightening products Smile

Shiseido also. Cool

Anyhow, I agree with bkkgirl also.
Because I have done it but my hair was damage.
Actually, it was not too much.
But it was still damage.

Hey Everyone,

Thanks alot for your recommendation. It was very usful and I got my hair straighten. Now for 2 days i will have to stay away from washing my hairs. Once i'll wash my hair I
'll let you know the results.

Next weekend I have my marriage anniversary.
So i did it now so that by next week I'll have some bounce in my hairs as its my observation that immediately after straighting and for 8-10 days your become very flat.

Hey,

I would like to share one tip for all complaining about flat hair after straightening that my hair dresser gave me while doing straightening.

I told her that i liked straight smooth hair but don't like the flatness at the crown portion
She give me the solution by setting my hair (after applying neutraliser) upward without any partition in the mid part and spray it with style holder to stay that way and advise me till i wash my hair after 2 -3 days i must comb it with wide tooth comb likewise no parting whereas earlier every time hair stylers just gave me the center partition and made it very flat look.

My hair also looked very flat & thin for the first several weeks after I got it straigtened too. Confused It's only now that it has a bit more "volume" that I like the look of it. Smile
