Funny...

I didn't my Jakes' on tape - though it was a winner.

One afternoon hubby & I were rushing around getting ready to go to a wedding reception. We brought Jake who was just about 4 at the time a Happy Meal to tide him over until my SIL picked him up for the night.

We set him up at his little table & chair and continued getting ready. Within a minute or 2 Jake starts yelling 'Mama! Mama!!' - Hubby and I coming from different ends of the house rush to him as it really sounded urgent.

We walk into the living room where he is now sitting on the couch with his little arms tightly folded across his chest and looking extremely angry. 'Jake, what's the matter?' I asked. He whips out 1 arm, points it angrily at the dog and says 'F'n dog just at my cheeseburger!!!!!'. OMG!! I was stunned initially and whipped my head to shoot hubby a look because he says that word ALL the time. Hubby had tears in his eyes, and was biting his lip to keep from laughing.

Eventually we composed ourselves explaining that was NOT a nice word to say. Jake got very upset with us then saying 'well, he did and I really wanted that cheeseburger!'.

Sent hubby out for a new burger, got Jake to understand (hopefully) that he was not to say that word.

Now - if he hears Daddy say it - he scolds him and tells him it's not a nice word and that he has to pay him a quarter... Jake will be a rich kid by 5th grade.... Rolling Eyes

OMG, Candy. I'm reading this at work laughing my a** off. Kids are just little parrots at that age aren't they?

That would have been priceless to get on tape.
