Try using a footcream with AHA at night--Bliss makes one called Foot Patrol, but there are others--and using a footfile in the mornings. Diamencel makes a series of great ones, though they are a bit pricey. Microplane also makes a good one for less. Both brands are readily available on line. In a pinch, you can buy a very inexpensive footfile in a drugstore. Keep at it and in no time your heels will be soft and lovely.

I had to add, the Vichy foot treatment I use is the Cracked Heel Repairer. I also will use the Neo-strata foot creme with AHA and between times when I'm not using either of the above I use Flexitol Heel balm.

You might also try a #10 Diamancel file ... they are not inexpensive (about $50 with shipping on eBay) but they will make your feet as smooth as a baby's bottom!

There's a thread someone started about these somewhere on this board ... that's I how heard about them and I've had mine for around a month now.

Eulactol heel balm cream is excellent stuff. Really softens up the heels.

Scrub/file off the dead skin first then use Creative's cucumber heel therapy cream... That works for me Smile

I use my Diamancel foot file.

I received a Gehwol cream from EDS and it is the best foot cream I've used - I've tried DDF, MD Formulations etc etc etc.

I only use it at night with socks as it is sticky. My feet are at last smooth.
Very Happy

I went to the site and the packaging is exactly like the Flexitol. I think it may be the same stuff (it says it's made in Australia).

I have found Flexitol to be brilliant on my feet. I'm not using it at the moment as I am trying to find a more natural alternative, but have failed to as yet, so might have to go back to it before my feet turn into hooves !

I like my "Diamancel" foot file. But I really love my "Microplane" foot file. It is around $22 and I ordered it from QVC.

I have to add the Neo-stata foot cream with 10% urea and AHA.

My pedicurist recommends that I use aquaphor on my feet nightly and a pumice stone daily (or when I remember) in the shower. It has done wonders for my dry, ugly and cracked heels. It is a cheap and easy fix for an ugly problem. I actually don't have to get pedicures as frequently--I was doing it more for the dry skin than the beautiful toenails.

I'd say a old fashioned pumice stone. Just make it a part of your daily shower routine. After that, any cream will do because the softer skin underneath will be able to absorb it.

I find if I do this regularly it's great and much better than one day realizing how rough my heels are and going crazy on them.

Have you tried of leaving socks on overnight after your moisturizing treatment. I tried a couple times, it is not that comfortable to sleep with socks on but it works.

I use a "La Cross" Premiere foot file. Here in Canada it is about $$18.00. It is the best "sander" I have come across...gentle but very effective.
I have tried all sorts of foot creams with AHA's etc., and to be honest I find that Palmers CoCoa Butter with Vitamin E is great!!
It is inexpensive, smells yummy, and it keeps my feet super soft. If you do the "sock thing" even for a couple hours (I don't like sleeping in socks all night), you will get a deep conditioning treatment! Very Happy

I like Sally Hanson's Thick Callous Remover - it is quite cheap, and it really works well for me in combination with taking a bath to soak my feet, and a pumice stone.

I have a Microplane Foot File - truly a great product (use on dry feet). Once I exfoliate, I like using the Body Shop body butters - especially mango - as I've found them the best moisturizers for my feet (and hand cuticles).

I also have begun using Bliss Spa gel socks overnight some days.

The #10 Diamancel file works wonders, along with Candy's "no more stinky toes". I put the foot balm on overnight w/socks & wake up to soft feet! There's also another cheaper alternative to the Diamancel that you could get at Sally's, Checi, which is also used on dry feet. You can get the Diamancel file from ebay orwww.blissworld.com The foot balm can be ordered from: http://www.candessence.com

I have tried many products and the only one that worked on my heels is by Gena - 'Callus Off' It is 15% SALICYLIC ACID and works. But if you use this, be prepared to use gloves because this will peel the skin off your fingers. Two treatments and I'm ready for sandals.

I use a sandpaper footfile from the Body Shop to smooth the skin my feet. I do this on dry skin whenever I remember but definately after I've given myself a pedicure. It seems to work quite well.
