My mind is totally boggled by CP's and other skincare atm.
I have been reading past threads and my mind is spinning with first generation and second generation etc.
I am on school holidays atm so that might be why my brain has gone mushy.
Can some kind soul or souls please answer a few questions for me.
I currently use:
am:
PSF Vitamin C serum
PSF ALN mixed with Beta Glucans
Sofina Nuance SS
Clarins SS (for eyes)
pm:
Avene retinol (Eulage) around eye area - every second night followed by PSF Stimucoll.
SAS Marine Cream
About once a week or once a fortnight I do a 10% lactic Acid peel (leave on for 30 seconds). I follow this with PSF ALN mixed with Beta Glucans.
My questions are:
1). Am I using the Beta Glucans correctly?
2). I am interested in Skinbio GHK serum. How would I incorporate this? I know that you can't use vit C at the same time as CP's so I'd use it in the morning.
3). Are there better exfoliants that I could use that are less abrasive than the 10% lactic acid peel?
I will be very grateful for any help.

Hi Emma
I'd say
1. Yes.
2. Good.
3. If you mean by 'abrasive' the stinging feeling why don't you try a buffered leave on product rather than a quick spike, rinse off peel? |

Thank you Molly.
I remember you and Scally use a buffered leave-on but I can't remember which one. I did look it up when I read Scally's post on it. Can you please remind me what it is. |

Me again:
I'm looking at the Skinbio GHK serum under my eye area to build collagen. It's too expensive to use all over my face.
Where would I fit it into my current routine? Would it go over the Avene retinol or should I use it on laternate days to the retinol? Also, would I need a separate eye cream over it? (I won't be able to use my current eye product - PSF StimucollC).
Thank you.
I'll probably be back later with more questions.

Not quite sure what product you're referring to: we did both use Vivant's Mandelic acid, but it's pretty harsh because of the high alcohol in it and I think we've both stopped using it because of its drying nature.
I'm not using any exfoliants lately, but if I was I'd consider the new lacsal from Skinbio. I'd like to see more opinions on it first though. And failing that I was looking at some over on Paula's Choice which seem good and reasonably priced, but I haven't tried them either.
I think you can use the GHK with the Avene. I was reading over on the SCB this weekend that Dr P recommends both ways in different posts; Retinal first, followed by GHK or vice versa. I'd be inclined to use the GHK first because it's watery. I don't believe PH is an issue here, but there may be other opinions. |
