Hi, I'm using tazorac, and I feel that my skin needs added moisture/help at night... I'm wondering whether I should incorporate Decleor Baume essentiel... should I apply it Before or After the tazorac (with the necessary wait times in between)?
Any suggestions?
TIA,

Have not heard of this acne treatment but I do know that balm is supposed to be used on clean skin and is slightly greasy (ylang ylang is anyway) why not e-mail decleor site or ask/ring salon or shop that stocks it. One might not be compatiable with the other and could be a total waste of money and cosmetics are expensive enough. |

You would use them after the Taz.
Also - with the Rx meds (Taz, Retin A) there is *no* waiting time.
When using retinol, retinald, etc you need to wait 30 minutes for them to convert to retin acid (sorry, I don't know the spellings) -- but Retin A and Taz are already retin acid.

I have been having mild pimples for years. Six months ago I was so excited to try the whitening essential oil and the balms from Decleor since they claim to help heal the scars etc. To my surprise, both the oil and balms broke me out really bad and I started growing milli on my face! I had to stop using them. The floral cream from this line is very good though. |

Oh No!
Did you try any other of their oils/balms (specifically, the ylang ylang versions)?
What have you been doing for your pimples, scars and milia otherwise? |

Jzainoun, I tried the essential balm and rose balm. Ylang ylang is targeted for mature skin so I didn't buy it. Other than acne and scars, milia are a lot harder to get rid of. I was recommended to use glyco** acid or AHA, haven't seen any big change so far. However,I should admit that the whitening oil from deleor is very effective in lightening up the skin tone. The balm and the oil are both just too rich for me, I guess. |

Actually the Ylang Ylang balm is for oily/combination skin. The Rose D'Orient is for sensitive skin and the Iris is for mature skin.
I use the Ylang Ylang every night on my combo/acne prone face and I'd never be without it! It's fabulous! I also use the YY oil in the morning. It's changed my face from oily to combo! |
