I've come across the one and only missing piece to an almost perfect routine.
Came across a great article http://www.smartskincare.com/treatments/topical/aha.html
and decided to see if any users can recomend this in its strongest and best form.
I'm going to ask the nurse at my surgery center for recomendations also, but wanted to see if there is a well known best form to buy this in.
I prefer concentrated forms of things, so if someone knows a killer concentrated form of this acid, what and where |

SandraG, since you already use some MD Forte, they have glycolic acid creams (or lotions depending on your skin type) I, II, and III being 10, 15 and 20% glycolic for daily use. If your looking for a strong 50% peel to use weekly, then makeup artists choice sell that, as does platinum skin care. I'm sure others will chime in with other recs for you! |

Sorry, SandraG, made a mistake. The % for the MD Forte glycolic lotions and/or creams are 15, 20 and 30% for daily use. |

Thanks rileygirl,
I'll look at MDForte since I love that. My creams might have some in them already, but I wanted to buy it con centrated if possible. But 30% isn't bad... |

Depending upon the pH of the MDForte creams, the available acid may not be at the level listed on the bottle. For instance, it may say 30% glycolic acid, but if the pH of the product is too high, only a portion of that will be available to the skin. |

What isn't? Glycolic acid? You can buy glycolic acid in many different strengths as a separate product. Maybe not from MDForte (I don't know about their product line) - but you can get it from other sources. |

No..I'm talking about
Alpha-Hydroxy Acids
I use the MDForte line and love it.
I was specifically looking for a strong and concentrated form of alpha hydroxy acid.
riley girl suggested to look at my mdforte brand for something with alpha hydroxy acid in it. |

Um, but glycolic acid IS an alpha hydroxy acid. |

Okay, if you're talking about AHA (I wasn't sure if you meant glycolic acid/AHA or if you were talking about MDForte products), then they are definitely available as separate actives/formulas - just maybe not in the MDForte line.
I was just saying that the pH plays a big part in how much of the acid in a product is actually available to the skin. That's why I suggested checking the pH of the MDForte product - just because it says '30% glycolic acid' doesn't mean that's how much AHA you will actually be getting. If the pH of the product is high, you're only going to get a fraction of that.
It's just something to consider if you're looking for a product with a higher % of AHA. |

I have been using Glycolix presaturated pads. They come 10-15-20% strengths. |
