I have been using the Light Stim Anti Aging light for about 2 months now. I got my hair straightened and have had 2 people tell me it made me look younger. Not sure if it is the straightening though. I wonder if it is the light. I can tell my beginning jowls are a little less saggy, and I haven't even taken an "after" photo yet. My skin is very soft, and my hands are a little less crinkly too. SO far, I am delighted with the results, and find it very easy to use. I use it with nothing or CE Ferulic.

Anybody have any advice for me about how many days a week to use it? I was trying to use it almost daily, now I see that may be too much. Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone! Great thread! I just started using a natural skincare line after years and years of using dept. store products. The line is Dr. Hauschka. No retinols,no Vit.C,just organic plant extracts. It's simple and there is no need to use a moisturizer at night. So for me this is quite different than my other skincare routines. When I was in Whole Foods, a lady was buying some of his products. She was 53 and her bareskin looked incredible. She totally sold me! She said she used to have hyperpigmentation and alot of other skin issues. Not anymore! I plan on using this line and I will report back if anyone would be interested. Smile

Did you use nuderm first or just start ZO right off? I did not have any peeling.Oh yes Donna was very helpful and the products arrived very soon after ordering, great service. Maybe I should have given it alittle longer,but the milia under my eye and the crinkle around my mouth and chin,of which I never had before I got scared. Still have all products,let me know how you get alone with it? I am trying to fine a eye cream that will cause milias{little white bumps}

Thought I was doing so well with the LightStim. ANd it has improved some things, but then I had pics taken and I was shocked at the loose skin on my face. What are you ladies doing for that?

Hello everyone,

I am a newbie who is totally fascinated by this site. I will be 55 Shock in a month!! Have no idea how this happened!!!! I don't have any deep wrinkles but do have some wrinkles on my forehead that I am working on Smile
My skin care regime is this

Vitamin C serum in the morning (Cellular Skin RX C+ Firming Serum) followed by Relax-A-Line, sunscreen as my moisturizer. Intensive Eye cream and Monistat Anti-Chaffing Gel as my primer. Night time I use Green Cream & eye cream. I ordered Baby Quasar yesterday and hope to get good results. Interested in hearing feedback about this product..

So far this has been working as people think I'm 40. My concern right now is my neck.. I want a product to firm up my neck... would love feedback on this. This is a very informative site and I happy to have found it Very Happy

Welcome, Totally! You will love the Baby Q -- the payoff from that little toy is almost immediate and it's amazing. You don't mention what kind of skin you have, but if the green cream isn't quite powerful enough, you might want to order the Retin-A -- it's very cheap from the Indian website that a lot of people on here (me too) have used.

Necks are tough, and an area I worry about since mine is long to begin with. I started doing facial exercises a couple of months ago, and I think those are helping (subtle, because the damage isn't really that obvious--sometimes I can see it if I'm in the right light). FlexEffect has a lot of good exercises; you can also find some on Youtube.

Thanks Hermosa for the great info. Green Cream has been working..currently using 6 but will start 9 as soon as I run out of the 6. I have combination skin with some dry patches but mostly in the winter.

I want firmer skin and hopefully will get good results from the Baby Quasar. Heard so much about Retin-A but am a little apprehensive about trying it in the summer even if I do wear sunscreen. I will look into trying it in the winter. I live in Massachusetts and our winters are longer than our summers Sad

I did hear about the exercises...I guess I just wanted a *magic* fix Laughing

Facial exercies - THAT'S what you need to do. You'll turn back the clock.

I've read about these in the forum before. How can facial exercises decrease or get rid of lines and wrinkles? I assume they can't do anything about skin texture and colour, so I assume they work on lines and wrinkles. What changes have you had?

I definitely understand the concept...after all I exercise to keep the flab away from certain areas on my body ....I just have to use the same concept for my face and neck.
Thanks! Smile

I recommend starting with LouLou's Ageless -- a pdf that you can download for something like $10. The exercises take a few minutes a day and are very easy to do. Then you will either decide that you hate facial exercise or you'll get hooked, check out a few books for the library, and/or buy a couple of additional programs. They aren't cheap, but they all cost less than a single facial...and do a lot more.

I have had great success with facial fillers, no problems, not even any swelling, lasted a while. I never walked out of the salon spending under $1000 or so. But compared to facial exercise? What I can accomplish with my own two hands? No question what's more effective and looks a lot better overall. I feel as though I've found a way to cheat the aging gods.

My mother has had plastic surgery a few times, starting with a regular facelift at age 70. She does not look young; she just looks kinda freaky. So I know that is not the answer. So far, facial exercise is the only thing I've found that even comes close to yielding the kind of results you would hope to achieve with PS. And I've only been doing it a couple of months!

I found this very interesting by Hannah Sivak, PhD

It is a guide on ebay

Did you know that benzoyl peroxide will age your skin? Propolis is a natural antibiotic that will kill the acne bacteria whithout ruining your skin.
If your doctor had to excise a melanoma lesion, help your skin by using betulinic acid and pomegranate oil. Palmitoyl pentapeptide (Matrixyl, the active in Strivectin) and sea kelp bioferment will help with wrinkles and hesperidin methyl chalcone in Eyeliss (the active in Haloxyl) will improve the look and health of puffy eyes. Soy isoflavones will help stop the wrinkles that follow menopause.

I know this was posted a couple of years ago, but what is betulinic acid and where do you get it? And would this help get rid of scars? And where do you get pomegranate oil?

Thanks for the info

Have you looked at Garden of Wisdom, Lotioncrafters, bulkactives, etc? Not sure if they sell the birth bark extract but most will sell the pomegranate oil.

I'd say if you want a recipe with both of those products, go back to the source and ask Hannah at skinactives.com. Hope that helps!

scrappnmom,

Sorry I thought you saw a posted recipe! I didn't intend to confuse you, one link gives information about white birch bark extract and the other is a listing of all the recipes members have posted plus names and links to suppliers for DIY ingredients and supplies.
