Who's gonna be the brave soul to start a "60" and over thread now... Shock

Me has a feeling it will be filled with a lot of curse words... Embarassed

How is it possible to wake up 1 day into the 60th year, and see crap that wasn't there when I went to bed... Sad And each day is bringing something new since the 1st..)

Argh!... Bad Grin

Happy birthday Kassy!! Mine was last month. I've made a few new year's resolutions which I'm working on. Let's hope we just continue to get better as we get older. Cheers.

Kassy,
I'm 62 and I really think that an over 60 thread would be great. No offense to you fiftyish cuties, but the difference between 55 & 60 skin is HUGE! At least a couple of times a week or more you'll wake up, look in the mirror and think "Now what the HECK is THAT!!" Rolling Eyes Now it's not so much about prevention of lines & wrinkles, I've got plenty to spare <sigh>, but more about how to soften the lines, which make-up is best, age spots (do I ever hate those darn things!!)how to keep up with the ever increasing amount of grey, the saggys everywhere, etc. So, for what it's worth, you've got my vote Kassy! Rolling Eyes

I wondered what happened to this thread... Laughing

I agree wholeheartedly with "the differences between 55 and 60 being HUGE!"... In my experience from my 5th menopausal year till now (10 yrs), I've done all my aging in one fell swoop. I shudder to think what it would have been like though, if I hadn't found this forum, and taken advantage of the few things that work, to slow down the aging process. No miracles mind you, but I'm more than happy with the time it's buying me, till the inevitable day when fillers and/or surgery will be the only option. So far so good, and I'm happy to still be a *virgin* in that regard... Laughing

So what say all ye other old geezers... Bad Grin

Well, I started this thread when my 61st B-day was soon after. I will be 64 in one week and I wish I had Kassy's results. I have yet to find anything that has worked. Today I received a new 8 year drivers license with a new picture and I gotta say I feel like shooting myself. Getting older sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow!! I just joined , and I feel like I need an education already!I enjoyed reading and learning. I am 65 and folks tell me I look younger, but I can surely tell the difference on some days.I just read a post on using a Dermaroller. does anyone near my age use one of these and if so, which one is the best, and how do you use it? thanks!

I think it's time for this thread to get bumped again, with so many of us in the 50-60 (slightly under and over) we can boost each other on our way to 70? LOL. Bad Grin

It's a really interesting read to go back and read through, seeing where some started and what has and hasn't worked those miracles. Smile

Thank you for reminding me that I am 3+ years older since I started this thread and not being the recipient of any miracles. And I thought chocolate was on the "good food" list. Wink

Totally Dark chocolate is a guilt free guilty pleasure, love those antioxidants! Bad Grin

No miracles here either Riley, but it seems that some have been blessed with a few. Smile

Here's a link http://www.agingmyth.com/content/agelocbook/global/home.html

I haven't read it - what's it all about? It seems to be promoting Nuskin and Ageloc.

Gosh, it was 4 plus years ago when I started this topic. And.......I am slowly getting older than dirt and I haven't found "the" miracle yet. Guess I should be happy to still be breathing. Wink

Exactly!!! That's what I've learnt, there aren't any miracles. Regardless of what people claim, you can't stop the aging process with lotions and potions. I get sick of reading how Helen Mirren looks so great for her age, she's 65 and has become the poster-girl for older women. However, when she was in her early 50s she looked old and haggard. She has definitely had work done (good work!) so I basically want what she's having!

NuSkin make an ultrasound skin gadget that's used with their anti-aging serum AgeLoc which is quite expensive. According to the book reviews on Amazon, the book basically promotes the device and serum.
