I use Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil too and also use a gel cleanser (John Masters Rose Gel) afterwards. I don't feel 'squeaky clean' just using the oil. Based on all good reviews here I will try the DHC oil next !

Hi nickie, I'm so sorry to hear that Sad
I've just tried a sample size of DHC cleansing oil. It's water-soluble so it rinses away clean – no oil slicked faces, hands or sinks. That's good one.

Yeah, that's one thing I learned since I joined EDS. LOL I would jump on the band wagon to buy a product only to find it didn't work for me. Anyway, I don't break out easily so maybe that's why this oil was good for me.

I used DHC samples and found it quite good.
But I still stick to my Decleor cleansing oil.

I think the DHC oil is just fair. It doesn't cause breakout on my face, but it does make my skin feel dry.

I've been using it for years. It gets my skin so clean it squeaks- something I never expected from an oil! It's also good for emulsifying and removing any other oil or grease that you've gotten on your hands or wherever that won't come off no matter how hard you wash it.

I'm brand new to this forum, this is my 1st post so if I'm beating a dead horse please forgive me. I'm going to read on through this thread, but I had to sing the praises of DHC's cleansing oil.

I save the DHC samples for travelling and I was surprised how much I liked the Cleansing Oil - I used to throw the packets out.

How many of you like the DHC samples and plan to buy full size? I must admit that I haven't yet bought the full size and I did like the sample a lot. I actually kinda forgot about it. There seems to always be other products to try!

I can't decide between the DHC Cleansing Oil and Laventine's Olive Forte Cleansing Oil. Anyone tried both of these and like one over the other? I've been a fan of Laventine (fka La Vitton) cleansing oil for normal/dry skin, but was thinking that maybe the Olive Forte might be better (DHC samples are a bit drying to my skin).

Sounds like you should go with the Laventine's Olive Forte since you like this brand, and DHC is a bit drying for your skin. I have not tried the Laventine one, so I can't tell if it's better or not. But you'd probably be better off sticking with the brand you like and trust. Very Happy

Where can I buy the DHC deep cleaning oil? Is it a mineral oil? I don't like mineral oil, because it makes me break out quite a lot. By the way, I'm in US.

Having tried the Laventine Olive Forte, I think the DHC is a better consistency and rinses off much better. Just my experience.

I am very acne prone and loved the cleansing oil for a few years. Sadly my skin became sensitive to olive oil so I cant use it any more. But I still recommend this to people because it a great cleanser.

I wonder how skin can become sensitive to something that used to be ok in the past. I'm experiencing this problem right now, too.

Sorry to hear this, Girliegirl. I believe I'm in the same boat. Skin is quite fickle.
