Hi Ladies,
I'm having a hard time deciding which of these 2 cleansers to buy next: Murad Clarifying Cleanser or Dermalogica Antibacterial Wash?
Both have Triclosan and Salycilic acid, but I don't know the concentration of salycilic of each, does anybody know how they compare? Which is better ?
Thanks for your help! |

triclosan isn't really all that effective (bacteria become resistent to it very quickly) but salcylic acid is great. I would actually recommend dermalogica's microfoliant in conjunction with a more gentle cleanser for clarifying purposes -- it reallllly cleans out the pores. a lot of people really like the dermalogica special cleansing gel (too drying for me but I'm guessing you have oily skin).
personally I don't like murad. |

Hi kwchan1007, I'm looking for a cleanser for oily skin & acne-prone. Is this good for oily skin? Thanks,
Hi Waffle,
Thanks for the recommendation, I already have the Dermalogica Microfoliant, I'm now looking for a good cleanser to help clean my skin more. I've been using MD Formulation glycolic cleanser but I think they changed the formula or something, it doesn't work like it used to, so now I'm looking for a salicylic cleanser instead. Thanks. |

i've tried both the murad and dermalogica cleansers and i didnt like either of them- i used them for my body instead. im still searching for a cleanser.
dermalogicas anti-bac wash broke me out quite badly and u need to cleanse twice (which is such a pain) whilst murad did absolutely nothing for me.
i've tried the microfoliant but i didnt really like it either. am beginning to not like dermalogica again...but im still using their active moist, only cos it doesnt cause breakouts and im still looking for a moisturiser...am on a search for quite a few products !
next i will try DDF blemish foaming cleanser and paula's choice skin balancing cleanser too. see how that goes....

well, it might work for u...but my skin just didnt like it...and i use it for my bacne, but again its not that useful...
i bought dermalogica anti-bac when i first started getting acne just less than a year ago, so it was my 1st acne cleanser and was so not impressed with it and other dermalogica products i bought cos their website makes it sound soooo good
maybe u can get a sample of it or maybe i can squeeze out a bit of mine and send it to u to try if u live in UK. |

Thanks so much yeahyeah, but I don't live in the UK. Thanks for your thoughtfulness!
I will probably go to a sephora store and get some samples anyway, it's just that it's usually too little to really know if it works! |

I guess I'm not the only one that has been using the Murad cleanser on my body. It didn't do anything for my face but it seemed to be working well for my back. |

Hi Pooh Bear,
Since my skin is combination dry, i only try the Sothys Normalizing Beauty Milk (Cleanser) which is the extract of grapefruit, it eliminates surface impurities, improving suppleness and softness of the skin. After wash, i really think the cleansing and softness effort.
I think maybe the Sothys Purifying Beauty Milk (Cleanser) is more suitable for oily skin. It derived from the wood of the camphor tree. A potent extract that respects the skin's own natural oils, but capable of eliminating excess impurities. |

Oh~~~I have ordered the Murad Hydration Set which includes: Moisture Rich Cleanser (2oz), Night Reform Treatment ( 0.5 oz ), Energizing Pomegranate Lip Therapy SPF 15 (0.5 oz ), Perfecting Day Cream SPF 30 (1 oz ), and a Body Firming Cream (2 oz ).
Since the options for Murad is not bad and its has discount, I have ordered a set to try. |

Poor Bear I don't know if you have tried this but the Marcelle cleaner is wonderful!
My DD has been using this after trying many others and has found it great for her somewhat oily and acne prone skin.
It doesn't strip the skin and leave it dry and taut.
It is the Aquarelle purifying cleansing gel by Marcelle it's oil and alcohol free! |

I didn't like the acne kit. I can't comment on the other Murad kits. I do hope it works out for you. |
