I always seem to get these huge pimples right after I unclog/deep clean my pores with those biore nose strips. This also happened after I had a microdermabrasion treatment... Is this supposed to happen? |

Hey pura_vida,
it's not supposed to happen at all, sounds like you have skin that is quite sensetive. I suggest for very non abrasive exfoliation you try Dermalogica Microexfoliant or Phytomer Vegetable Enzyme Exfoliant. Those should not irritate your skin.
Good Luck
ps are you from costa rica? |

Is ur skin very sensitive? if not, that maybe because you aready got pimples under the skin, and microderabrasion will clear up and remove the die skin cells. so the pimples will come up to the skin surface...I think after few times u will find ur pimples getting less... |

That's actually a common thing to happen. It's like detoxifying the body. When you are flushing things out and removing the junk it may rise to the surface as a way to escape. Because you are opening the pores and pulling dirt and debris to the surface, you are bound to get a breakout unless you have nothing clogging your pores to begin with. I find the strips harsh though as they tare the skin and aggravate it needlessly. A good routine of weekly steam and mask should help out so that you don't get breakouts every time you give yourself a facial. |

I've heard that prolonged use of Biore strips may actually make your pores bigger. |
