I have been wanting to try a copper product but am concerned about the possible side effects. I've read alot about the 'uglies' and also have read the reasearch that copper stimulates hair growth by opening the hair folicle. Has anyone felt their pore size on their face has enlarged, or seen an increase in facial hair growth since using products with copper? the benifits of copper seem great, but the possible negative effects, not so great... |

While they do sell copper products to promote hair growth, they claim that it only promotes growth where hair is supposed to grow and not in other places. I have used copper peptide serums from Skin Biology for almost two years and haven't seen a problem with facial hair growth. The uglies do evidently happen to some people. I haven't experienced this. The Skin Biology experts advocate starting slowly with diluted cp serum until you see how your skin tolerates the product. They do have a forum on the Skin Biology web site that might help answer some of your questions. Right now I am using vitamin C serum from PSF so I am giving the CPs a break. |

Yes, it does promote hair growth. If you already have extra facial hair you may see that you will have a bit more then before. In my opinion the benefits are worth it.

I've been using CPs for 3-4 years now & haven't seen an increase in facial hair at all - nor have I had any increase in pore size.
I, too, recommend starting slowly with the CPs. If you move slowly enough, you may not experience any 'uglies'. I had one bout of them, about 8 weeks after first starting the CPs, and then none since, as long as I don't try to overdo it. |

I have definitely had seen an increase in hair growth, but it was not too dramatic. I had been using CPs for a year and 3 months.

Thanks for the responses, do you use skin biology products, neova, or something else? |

So I guess I should encourage my DH to use it on his receding hairline? |

They make a formula especially for hair - a shampoo - can't remember if there is a conditioner - and a 'treatment'. It's called Folligen - Skin Biology makes it. |

I added some SuperCP Serum to my nighttime hairgrowth serum and also to my eyelash growth serum and it seems to have made a difference!
Haven't noticed problematic hair growth on the facial skin at all. If a person is prone to it, they may wish to avoid those areas such as the moustache and goatee areas just to be safe! |
