Does anyone have any first hand experience with the Remergent Clarifying Concentrate? I have some darkened patches on my face and would like something to help even out the skin texture. I've tried brightening products, mostly from boutiques, but nothing has worked and I'm edging closer to the realm of pharma engineered skin care. |

I had tried a sample of this and "thought" I could see some slight lightening, so I purchased a whole tube. I used it about 3 months and didn't see any further lightening, so I grew disinchanted and set it aside (I'm now using Jan Marini Bioglycolic Lightening Gel ... too soon to tell if it's going to work for me). I know before I purchased the Clarifying Concentrate that I had read reviews on here where people were having results, so I think it just depends on the person.

I think the main reason some people saw results and others didn't is that I believe this product is aimed at sun related skin spots and discolourations. So if the spot, mark or discolour has not been caused by the sun then this product may not work on it. I had success with it on a couple of sun spots that I had and they have not returned. The spots disappeared totally. |

I just got the clarifying concentrate. Can you use Vit C, Retin A and etc with this and Remergent's DNA Repair?
If so, what is the order of application? Ie Vit C first or clarifying concentrate then DNA Repair. |

I always use the Clarifying Concentrate first on clean skin, followed by DNA Repair. I don't use a separate Vit C so I am not sure on this one. I would use a retinol product before the Clarifying Concentrate but not sure on Retin A as I have never used that product and don't know the correct use of it. |

Thanks Bushy. I am using Eulage which is retinaldehyde and PSF's retinol so I think I should use these before the Clarifying Concentrate. I might email the ladies at EDS at ask for clarification. BTW I tried the Dr Renaud Eye Contour Tensor today. Will let you know how I like it. |

I think bushy made a good point about the fact that there are different types of pigmentation, and that some are easier to fade than others.
I've sat on the fence about this product because I already use and like a C serum, but the thing about it that intrigues me is actually the dispenser -- that it allows for more precise application directly to targeted areas.
Hi Ninetynine - If it were me, I would spot treat with the Clarifying Concentrate first, wait about 15 minutes and then apply retinoids. BTW, I"ll be interested to hear what you have to say about the Dr. Renaud eye product! |

My Remergent DNA Repair Serum just came in and Ive been using it for three nights now. I put off the Clarifying Concentrate, but Im thinking I might go ahead and order it given some of you think it may help. I actually went into a spa and asked about the spots and the esthetician said some were sun damage and some werent. I have a appt with a derm to find out the the others are, but at least I know Im dealing with some sun damage. Thanks for the suggestions. Every little bit helps! |

Is this a spot treatment or can it be used all over the face like a moisturiser? |

Clarifying Concentrate is meant to be used as a spot treatment and is in a container that has a metered dose. |

I got a reply from the EDS ladies, use Vit C before Clarifying Concentrate. However, Clarifying Concentrate is effective enough to use without Vit. C or Retinol. So it is ideal for people who cannot use retinol. |
