First, i have to declare my undying love, faith, devotion, and absolute loyalty to EDS.

EDS will remain my one and only online skincare supplier because of their helpful and efficient customer service, their generosity in give-aways and in showering me with buckets of samples during my VERY FIRST order with them, and in their attractive and unparalleled forum member discounts.

But i have been wondering about 1 thing, I notice that EDS's pricing of Sothys products is often more expen than other online skincare stores, even when i apply my forum discount. I really dont understand this hmm hmm hmm hmm. EDS's prices of other brands are very competitive and attractive to me... but why is it so different with sothys ?????????? Question Question Question Question Question Question Question

I was under the impression that EDS prices were all in Canadian funds which would be priced higher than a US site, I could be wrong!

Actually compared with all the retail stores (not online) that sells Sothys here in Vancouver, EDS has much cheaper prices even before the forum discount. I think if it's cheaper in the US it might just be due to import tax, just like how a lot of cosmetics are more expensive in Asia for the same reason.

When you "click on" an item it shows pricing in USD but also shows a conversion to other currency including Canadian $$$.

The same thing is true for the cost of Pevonia products. The cleanser and toner (sensitive line) that I bought for about $27 each in May is now over $40 at EDS. On the skin store website the prices are much lower. I emailed EDS about why the prices are so much higher now and was told that these are the rates they have to charge for Canada. Darn cause I like the Pevonia products but won't spend $40 for a cleanser.

I didn't realize this. I love Pevonia products. I just checked eskincarestore and yes their regular price is lower and right now they even have a promotion of 15%.

Yes, i think sothys products are quite expensive here but the good thing is that there are a great variety of products that might not be a/v at other sites

i hope more new products can be a/v here

Just wanted to say that EDS is MUCH MUCH cheaper for Sothys than beauty salons in Australia - even when you factor in weight surcharge.

I think it all depends on where you look. When I checked out another website there was a product cheaper, but others were more expensive. Plus on EDS you get a discount for the forum. PLUS the gift with purchase is so much better with EDS than it was with this particular website.

I also LOVE the fact that the prices are in CDN and I don't have to figure out what will be on the cc or see the increased price that some places do. Why do I pay $10 more on an item PLUS more on shipping PLUS more with duties. Tsk. Confused

I like the way the price is shown in Australian dollars and I don't get hit with a conversion charge.

I agree EDS is much cheaper than salon's in Aus.

Another agree for EDS being cheaper for Sothys in Australia!

I find that EDS doesn't have a complete line of Sothys and sometimes ebay is cheaper.

I think the EDS website changes its currency for the country you're in, very nice of them!

Hi, I tumbled in this topic because I have the same question too. I love EDS for their customer service, generous samples and offers, but I just don't understand their pricing on Sothys seem higher than most of other on-line suppliers in US. But, I am sure there are some reasons for that to make their cost higher in this line.
