Attn: Friends In the States! If Your Pet Goes Missing!
Category: Pets and Animals
If your dog or cat goes missing, there is currently no law in place that will prevent them from being rounded up and sold to a research lab. The labs will try and tell you that they make sure they know where their victims come from, but this is a blatant lie.
There are 15 Class B dealers left who round up dogs and cats from various "random sources" and sell them to research facilities. The Humane Society of the United States firmly believes that it is time to stop funneling dogs and cats—often times stolen family pets—into research facilities.
The Pet Safety and Protection Act will prohibit the sale of "random source" dogs and cats for experimentation, preventing the theft of pets for research and the abusive treatment of these animals in the hands of Class B dealers.
Please take a moment to visit this link and fill out a simple form which will be sent to your Senator telling them that you support The Pet Safety and Protection Act.

My mom says that when she was in college she was in an anatomy class where they were dissecting cats, and when they brought the cats in, most of them were still wearing tags and collars!!!! My mom was horrified and dropped the class asap. |

That's disgusting. God, that makes me mad. Just when you think society couldn't get anymore barbaric.
I'm Canadian, so I have no senator to send this to...I hope others do, though. I had no idea this went on.. |

Thanks CM! How disgusting is that . We had a scare approximately 8 years ago. It was suspected that family pets were vanishing to experimental labs. Since, the leash law in our area is very strict. You would see me on the news if anyone ever laid a hand on my pets (furkids).
Thanks for the link....done. |

Makes me wonder how ethical these research labs are. And where do the schools get these animals? I'll fill out the form asap. Some people make me sick how cruel they are to animals. |
